This announcement is just a quick update on what to expect going forward in The Series Test now that phase 4 is live. The name sort of gives that away.
It's been one or two weeks now since phase four went live and I hope you all enjoyed jumping back into Series Shores to see what this phase had to offer, but now phase four is live, the question is; what comes next?
Now, I would love to say that phase five and the ending comes next; however due to the amount of varying endings this game has and plus there's still one full scene left to come for each replica, this is going to take some time to create. Each phase comes with new outfits, new stories and most importantly new outfits which take a long time to create. Now the holiday season is over, it is back to full working schedule and hopefully this next phase will be worth the wait.
So phase five is going to take sometime, but what about now? Well, I'm happy to say the true routes will be coming soon!
While working on phase 5, I am also going to be working on bringing each true route up to date with the phase 4 release so everything runs smoothly into phase 5 and the ending. Between now and the phase 5 release I am going to be releasing each true route update as it is ready! So no more waiting for a huge update, but as each new phase is complete it will go live!
Currently I am working on Cherry's true route so once that is complete, you'll be able to play it while I work on the others. Hopefully this will give you all something to tide you over while you wait for phase 5 and each new route. The current schedule is:
- Cherry's true route.
- Aiko/Freya true route.
- Aiko's true route.
- Freya's true route.
- Alma's true route.
- Kiyomi's true route.
This is subject to change but Cherry is definitely coming first. As a side-note, The Xiao Trials have been placed on the backburner until after phase 5 release. This will still be free add-on content and not DLC.
Also as a side to that, I have been periodically going back and redoing all the renders from phase one and two to make them more up to par with what is being released now. In the last year or two I've been creating this game I've learned so much and want to correct early renders. I mean, honestly tell me the new render doesn't look miles better than the original below. (These new renders were already released in the new update and each are the same render. Besides the Alleyne one.)
So yeah, that's basically it. A rundown on what's going on behind the scenes. Phase 5 is being worked on. The True routes will be released as they are complete and the game is being tidied up as we go and thank again Volunteers for all the support!! I appreciate you all.

One last little bit here for anyone who has played the new update and has gone a certain route. You may have noticed a new warning there when you started up the game. All of that content is entirely avoidable. Anyone who does know what I'm talking about? Being a massive Alleyne fan myself, creating this scene below? It was a HEARTBREAKING NIGHTMARE!

- Anna The Series Test Linux/Steam [12.55 G]
Confused, alone and suffering from chronic narcolepsy you awake in the presence of the sadistic Dr Alleyne who informs you that you agreed to volunteer in her psychological experiment testing the humanity of artificial intelligence in exchange for a hefty sum of credits. That sounds like something you would do, right? It must be because you're here and you don't remember anything from before. So, where is here exactly and what's your job?
The Anna series test is set in five stages with five different participants, artificially intelligent replicas of a real person. To push through Alleyne's test and make it out the other side, hopefully alive, you'll have to converse with the replicas. Follow their stories and make them believe they are human. The complication? Only one replica is needed to end the test.
Each phase Dr Alleyne will have you power down one of the machines. Removing them from testing and ending their stories. Sounds simple enough on paper. Flick a switch and turn off a machine. But you've got to know these women, their stories, their lives, seen their humanity. Can you bring yourself to keep flicking the switches? Can you separate their humanity from your own? Should you feel guilt for sentencing a machine to an unknown fate?
Take a psychological trip into Alleyne's deprived test of mental stability to find out. Good luck Volunteer.
