Two-Year Kickstarter Anniversary!
We've uploaded a new trailer as a part of our TWO Year Celebration of the Kickstarter Campaign. Enjoy! [previewyoutube=lwvx3ksnOQs;full][/previewyoutube] We also posted our last update so anyone could publicly view it (as in, more can view it than just Backers of the Kickstarter campaign); one thing of note - that we've commented on in updates but not too much otherwise - was that due to the Kickstarter success, more care and effort will consequently be put into making Crowsworn the best as it can be (in contrast to if the campaign had only hit the initial funding goal). Here is a snippet from Tuesday's update: "In some of the previous updates we discussed that the game is going to be taking longer to finish than the initially planned for December 2023 release date. We shed some light on the reasons for this in the previous updates, but for posterity we'll discuss it again. The delayed release is primarily a result of raising more than 10x the amount of funds we had initially planned for. This basically means need to make a game that is 10x bigger / better than what we initially planned for." Don't get hung up on the "10x" term in a literal sense; essentially, the team wants to make sure that Crowsworn rises to meet the now larger expectations of our supporters, so we're going to take our time and make it as great as it can be, rather than try to meet the original estimated fulfillment date. $750K CAD Stretch Goal hit! 6 days remain!
In case you didn't know, backing at the $20CAD Tier (or above) will now get you TWO games, Crowsworn (when it's done) and Unworthy (which is already done and will be sent to you shortly after the Kickstarter campaign concludes)! *Also, you'll get CrowKart - our meme-y, janky karting game - once we have some friendlier multiplayer implemented.
At $750K CAD we unlocked the RUINED LIBRARY zone but also the SteelBook Upgrade for all physical (game) backers! We're really excited about this one, because Dave Rapoza - whose incredible art will be featured on the cover - is cooking up something amazing for us all...
This SteelBook is a KICKSTARTER EXCLUSIVE, so if you're into it, you gotta get it now!
The next stretch goal is at $850k CAD and will add a whole new FREE DLC to Crowsworn, The Isles of Vladar, This area will be a whole new region, the history of which exists outside of the world of Fearrandal. It is a land that has befallen to an even more powerful force than the curse of Fearrandal... a land that has been ravaged by time itself...

An Unworthy Thank You Gift!
"Since the campaign started I've legitimately been in awe at the level of support we've been getting for Crowsworn... it's actually insane when you think about it! (LIKE ACTUALLY INSANE!!!). I've been honestly been thinking if we're WORTHY of the amount of this support (pun very much intended!). This has further got me thinking... what can we possibly do to show our appreciation for all of this ridiculous support? Are we doing enough? Well anyways... one thing I thought I'd do is throw in a complimentary Steam copy of my first game Unworthy (my breakthrough title if you will) for everyone who has backed the project at the $20 and above. I recently got the Steam keys approved! Thank you Valve!
The game is incredibly personal to me, as it was truly a trial by fire for me. It was a project I undertook and limited in scope in order to learn how to make games. For context, when I started the gamedev journey I didn't know what a "sprite" was... I thought it was a thing from Reboot (some of you might not get this reference). Anyways... it's safe to say that Unworthy was a necessary stepping stone that lead to the development of Crowsworn. I can comfortably say that without Unworthy we wouldn't be working on Crowsworn today. Although, Unworthy is a much smaller production and I would say is exceptionally rough around the edges, I do think it is also a very competently designed game, and is something I'm proud of. I learned a lot from both the successes and pitfalls of Unworthy, and I put those lessons into practice when designing Crowsworn! This will be a whole new region, with enemies, bosses, and is essentially themed as a dark haunted library. The structure once served as a hub for mages and researchers but is now long past its glory days. You can expect a few new mechanics thrown into this area as well. Here's a kickass rendition of the Ruined Library that our enviro artist Deryk Buckareff prepared.
In addition to this new area being unlocked, we're also going to unlock a new Reward Tier (called "The Nevermore Tier") that lets premium backers write poetry to be featured in a section of The Ruined Library. And finally, the backers of the PHYSICAL edition will be upgraded from a slipcase to a SteelBook case featuring the amazing artwork of Dave Rapoza (best known for his Magic: The Gathering artwork).
We've got yet another Livestream happening tomorrow, with myself and a number of Hollow Knight content creators (including yet another very notable speedrunner)! And I'm working on getting yet another race planned for later, too.

All backers of our Kickstarter (at the Punctual Bird Tier - $20 CAD - and above) will be getting an early dev-build of our "Crowkart" mini-game! It's quite unpolished and still a work in progress, but it's already a hoot to play online* with your friends!
We're honestly not quite sure what we're going to end up doing with Crowkart just yet; it's been a little side project we've been cooking during our downtime... We're just excited that we have something to give our backers right at the conclusion of our Kickstarter campaign. * Port-Forwarding know-how required for direct IP connecting.
We're less than $30K CAD away from unlocking the Giant's Graveyard on Kickstarter...
The Giants Graveyard is a special area in the Crowsworn universe that we are all exceptionally excited about. It is a cavernous dark region, shrouded in miasma. The area will come with its own set of unique enemies, mini-boss, and boss. It is a region that will delve deep into the twisted history of Fearrandal. With this new area open, we will be able to open up the Starling backer reward tier. This tier will include everything from the $320 Tier and below, and youll get to work with our resident environmental artist, Deryk Buckareff, to design your own personal memorial statue asset (final design must be approved by team) for the Giants Graveyard.
I'm going to be streaming "Crowkart" tomorrow with a number of Hollow Knight speedrunners, and answering questions about Crowsworn (that I can) and our Kickstarter campaign. We would love to see you there!

Hey guys, just a quick update... We've now reached over 12,000 followers on our Kickstarter "Coming Soon" page! Also, yesterday we noticed that the "Project We Love" tag has been added to our page. Obviously, this will have an impact on the overall success of our campaign, so we are happy to see it there.

A dark curse has befallen the land of Fearanndal, a once vibrant kingdom.
