An Unworthy Thank You Gift!
"Since the campaign started I've legitimately been in awe at the level of support we've been getting for Crowsworn... it's actually insane when you think about it! (LIKE ACTUALLY INSANE!!!). I've been honestly been thinking if we're WORTHY of the amount of this support (pun very much intended!). This has further got me thinking... what can we possibly do to show our appreciation for all of this ridiculous support? Are we doing enough? Well anyways... one thing I thought I'd do is throw in a complimentary Steam copy of my first game Unworthy (my breakthrough title if you will) for everyone who has backed the project at the $20 and above. I recently got the Steam keys approved! Thank you Valve!
The game is incredibly personal to me, as it was truly a trial by fire for me. It was a project I undertook and limited in scope in order to learn how to make games. For context, when I started the gamedev journey I didn't know what a "sprite" was... I thought it was a thing from Reboot (some of you might not get this reference). Anyways... it's safe to say that Unworthy was a necessary stepping stone that lead to the development of Crowsworn. I can comfortably say that without Unworthy we wouldn't be working on Crowsworn today. Although, Unworthy is a much smaller production and I would say is exceptionally rough around the edges, I do think it is also a very competently designed game, and is something I'm proud of. I learned a lot from both the successes and pitfalls of Unworthy, and I put those lessons into practice when designing Crowsworn!
