Developer blog #6: Sound effects |
Today we published a next developer blog. This time, we speak about how we designed the sound effects in order to make Transport Fever a game which is not only nice to look at, but also nice to listen to!
There is a multitude of sound effects and they can be categorized as follows:
- Environment effects emitted by water, wind, birds, etc.
- Constructions effects emitted by stations, industries, town buildings, etc.
- User interface effects emitted when bulldozing, track construction, clicking buttons, etc.
- Vehicle effects emitted by running trains, aircraft take-off, etc.
While all of them are important to reach a high degree of immersion, the vehicle effects for sure deserve closer attention. This is why we show examples of this category in the video.
Please find the corresponding video on our website:

Thanks a million for your interest and feedback. As always, we very much look forward to read your comments and receive your questions!
