Arcane Waters is sailin' into Next Fest!


We've added new areas to explore, the ability to create outposts with your guild, a new help panel, a new event panel so you can see what's going on, and patched up some bugs!

Guilds:


  • Outposts can now be deployed and guild members can contribute materials to complete the building.

Combat:


  • Enemy spawning is now updated to prevent ships from spawning too close to players in world maps
  • Balanced voyage difficulty scaling of enemy ships, ship health now scales depending on number of voyage members
  • Fixed bug where ability buttons and keys become unresponsive after fighting a while in land combat
  • Fixed bug where engaging with a pirate skeleton boss shows an enemy with shield inside combat
  • Fixed bug where pirate captain joins the minions combat even after it was defeated
  • Updated burning and poison damage to proc only if the target health is greater than 0, allowing users to land a finishing blow
  • Updated ability casting conditions when spamming buttons and triggering abilities while others are cooling down
  • Fixed bug where user fails to join a combat that they are already engaged in after disconnecting or logging out
  • Fixed bug causing duplicate player battlers when spamming pvp invites
  • Reduced chance to stun on some land combat abilities.

Optimizations:


  • Optimized area creation for maps to have prebaked collisions, for performance improvements
  • Improved other functionalities related to generating areas for performance improvements

Ships:


  • Added food cost for dashing
  • Ship HP bonus perk now only applies to max HP when spawned in a world map area
  • Ship storage and perk bonuses are now applied at the world spawn instead of storing in the database
  • Added a cap to the amount of bot ships we will allow to be spawned in pvp matches.
  • Bot ships and Sea Structures now aim slightly past their target, to help with some cases where they would often miss targets.
  • Increased wave spawn interval in pvp games, so there is an interval where no ships are at the enemy tower.
  • Fixed issue where bot ship cannonballs sometimes wouldn't damage enemy bot ships in pvp games.
  • Bot Ships and Sea Structures now aim at the targets center more accurately.

Bugfixes:


  • Fixed bug where crops are spawned in non house areas
  • Fixed bug where users are spawned in same area but does not see other users due to duplicated instances generated
  • Fixed bug where tutorial area is being duplicated needlessly
  • Improved redirection of users between servers
  • Fixed an issue where demo restrictions could cause players to be unable to progress to the next voyage map.
  • Fixed issue where small sands banner would show when the waterfall secret entrance was opened.
  • Fixed issue when warping to private maps
  • Moved go home to list of buttons to be shown when user has character
  • Fixed issue where player chop collider could block webs from finding a clear landing destination.
  • Fix for penalties expiration datetime
  • Fixed sometimes unable to respawn in PVP
  • Fixed players being sent to single player instances if an empty one is available in their destination server
  • Skeletons in the graveyard give the proper experience.

UI:


  • Special suffixes are added to character names that have been deleted
  • Fixed bug where pvp score in pvp board does not show to user when they join the pvp game late
  • Fixed bug where perks are being reset when you fail character creation
  • Perk icon colors are now updated to match the appropriate colors
  • Added a confirmation panel before soulbinding an item, 2 small exception fixes
  • Fixed minimap placement for buildings
  • Added the notice board panel, containing the biome activity tab. Moved the pvp arena panel to a tab in the notice board
  • Fixed PVP stat panel can't be closed
  • Fixed player can still shoot when game is over
  • Fixed Option not showing in character screen
  • Fixed notice board panel remaining in the panel stack when closing it with the X button.
  • Bugfixes for chat related issues, pvp stat panel and add close button for npc panel
  • Replaced 'biome' by 'region' in the notice board panel
  • Made steam login button become not interactable as soon as you click it
  • Toggle reply button if recipient can reply or cannot reply to a mail
  • Fixed recipient can reply to automated mail
  • Add mail button to bottom of UI. New mail should indicate like an invite does for the friend button
  • Added tooltips to the regions characteristics icons in the notice board
  • "Help" panel (Added Help button to the Options Panel)
  • Add friends current instance to the friends page (Added Room Instance Id)

Items / Inventory:


  • Fixed bug where new crafting ingredients do not show info in the UI
  • Inventory text cut off fixed, fixed typo found in ship panel
  • User equip able items are now blocked if level requirement does not match, added warning in chat panel
  • Fixed bug where level restricted items are reversed
  • Updated UI indicator for items that are level restricted
  • Fixed bug where level restriction shows up in blank equipment slots
  • Fixed bug where invalid item is shown after interacting with treasure chest
  • Fixed bug where weapons do not load properly for hotbar and inventory
  • Disabled items no longer show in inventory panel for regular users
  • Fixed level requirements on weapons not working correctly
  • Removed the crop quick-grow buff that was incorrectly remaining active after tutorial completion.
  • Coal takes less wood to craft
  • Ingots recipe accessibility fixed
  • Rusty Sword wasn't rusty enough.
  • Extra skeleton parts from tutorial are worth a tiny bit more.
  • Saplings are available randomly at the item shop in Port Haven.

SFX:


  • Food Sfx is now added when food units in ships get reduced
  • Added Sfx for achievements
  • Added Sfx after winning land combat

Sprites:


  • Sprite achievements are now updated, added

Maps:


  • POI's are now instanced
  • The Ives' Estate has been redecorated.
  • New areas to find and explore.

Arcane Waters is an online pixel RPG, featuring trading, exploration and combat. On your own, or with friends, explore handcrafted sea and land maps, travel in your ship to visit remote towns to trade goods, and hunt for treasure in dangerous waters and lands filled with monsters. In the meantime, tend your farm to grow crops, buy and upgrade your fleet of ships and craft items to use or sell.

Create and customize your character and begin exploring a huge and open world full of surprises!

TRADE

– Whether you grow your own food, or buy it from traders, you will need to find the best price to sell and make a profit. This will mean sailing far from home to discover new continents and towns where your goods are highly sought after.

FIGHT

– However, if you do decide to delve into the darkest regions of the world, you are bound to end up having to fight to survive! On the high seas, fight tense real-time cannon-blasting battles against pirates and huge monsters. On land, take part in thrilling active-time fights with strange creatures to reveal hidden treasures. Whether you fight with swords or pistols, you’ll need your wits about you!

JOIN

– Form a team with friends and go on adventures! Explore six different biomes, each with their own unique towns, valuable goods for sale and dangerous monsters, to complete quests and help each other level up.

LEVEL UP

– Stay neutral to avoid being attacked by other players, or join a guild to help fight for your place in the world. Level up by completing quests, finding new locations, and utilizing your skills. Use Perk points to increase stats based on your chosen specialties, and use your hard-earned gold to buy new equipment to help you progress even faster.

FARM

– Starting with a humble farm, plant seeds, water them and pick your crops. Eventually you will unlock other farms to increase your yield and diversify your produce.

CRAFT

– Use items dropped by enemies or sold at stores to make your own weapons and armor, and either use them yourself or sell them on the public Auction for a profit!
