Some of you made their frustration very clear with the current situation and trust me on this, no one is as frustrated about it as I am. My New Memories and it's characters are more than just my creations, ever since I released the game in June 2021, it has become an integral part of my life. I poured a lot of emotions into this game, writing things that truly moved me ( some of them were even self inserts from my life ), so the fact that I can't fully work on it at the moment is reaching a point where I feel physical pain from it, not to mention the mental distress that it has been over a year since the last update... I truly have a connection to the characters I made, especially with how Chapter 3 ended and Anna waking up. I think if I had to make a list which Characters I miss the most it's Anna, followed by Yukiko Lina and Sarah. Writing events with these last three helped me through tough times because I was able to make them funny, wholesome and emotional at the same time. But I want to make one thing clear. I'm not making this up. The things that are happening to me right now are true. The first court case is over and four of the five culprits got sentenced - Three of them to long jailtimes. The last culprit is still in thailand, hiding like a fucking coward and trying to escape justice. But I know that with time, things will turn out better again. It's not that I'm optimistic or anything, but that is the only thing that is keeping me going at the moment: The chance that I'm able to get my characters back and fully work on My New Memories again. The prequel has become more than just a "distraction" but I don't think it will reach a part of my life and heart that My New Memories did, sadly. The work on it helps a lot with not fully succumbing to the despair I'm feeling, because I feel motivated and the feedback I got so far pushed me forward even more. There is a good chance I'm going to release a demo for it as well, so you can check the game out for free before you decide if it's worth it to even play. The price will be $4.99, which is way below the average Adult Visual Novels on Steam as well. I think I said this a few times, I'm not working on these games to make money or get rich. These games have been part of my life for almost five years now and they helped me through the darkest times I ever had to experience. I was unemployed for almost ten years and these games gave me a purpose again, as sad as it sounds.
