The Store Page Is LIVE!
I am very honored to finally, after 1000 days of development, say that I got the game on Steam. This was highly requested from people who enjoyed playing the game, and I am so happy that I got to make this my first commercial game ever. This is a huge achievement for me. I wanna thank the TCC Team for playtesting the dev versions of the game, dha and monst2r for their incredible performances with speedrunning the game, and pretty much everyone else playing the game!
I think it's about time to say what we are planning for the steam version of the game, I'm going to go over to the most important to the least important:
If you've "beaten" the game in the previous versions, in "The End" screen it says that the game isn't finished, which is true. We want to finish the main game, by adding the fourth and fifth boss, and adding something very surprising at the end. You'll have to see what though! Not only that but some levels will have changes or complete overhauls, and also, there'll be fun little easter eggs!
We plan adding graphical changes both to the game and main menu. Buttons will look super polished, graphically the game will have more backgrounds and particles. HUD will also have updated graphics and will hide this time if you are behind the HUD, as a quality of life improvement. Speaking of blocks, we don't plan changing the look of them, but I hope that I can add more variants to blocks, for example, bricks, but we will wait and see!
For challenges we plan adding online leaderboards, finally you'll be able to compete with players. The best players need to have the best time in order to get to the top!
We're adding steam achievements in unique icons. And we are also porting the in-game achievements as Steam Achievements, and to top it all off, the Achievement Menu will look less confusing and make more sense! If you happen to unlock achievements in the previous versions they will be unlocked on Steam immediately as soon as you firstly launch the game.
We plan adding a way to select items without having to scroll with your mouse (but you can still do it). We'll add an item menu which just let's you pick blocks and items without having to find it yourself. For selecting music, there'll be a menu for choosing music instead of repeatedly clicking the music button, and for loading levels, we plan adding a list of saved levels that are in Local Files. There is going to be a way to set the "diamond time" for each level, and finally we will also add a secondary way to try level editor levels, which is:
In Fun Mode, you will be able to just play a user made level without opening the level editor and playing it there. We hope to also add workshop support but that probably won't come immediately when the game's available to purchase.
You will be able to customize your player further, by adding an entire page of skins and hats. Also, something is up with the Hat Merchant...
When the game is available, there will be 5 new challenges to play. Which also have Beta 1.7 items and unlockable skins. Speaking of items...
A double jump item is going to be added in the game. When Reddie collects this item it lets Reddie jump mid air. This item does not stack.
You'll be able to see more statistics in the main menu! Mainly the deaths will be tracked.
All endless run playthroughs should be more random since we are adding more levels, also, custom endless run will have a way to save a preset of settings, and share it to somebody who wants to try your challenge out. There will be a way to setup how much levels you need to beat to "complete" it, and there will be difficulty settings if you want the difficulty system to be enabled or not, if you want it enabled you can set the starting difficulty.
Remember that this is only Beta 1.7, there's more to come such as THE CALENDAR, new levels new skins new hats new challenges new endless run content new items coop mode for mulitplauyer new blocks ok bye thanks wishlist yes
