TCC Beta 1.7 Change Log (HUGE UPDATE)


Before we start:


I wanna thank donators and supporters, friends and family for making TCC still in development. Without your help, the game would never be on Steam, so I am very happy you guys keep supporting the game. Let's hope to reach more newer players as the time goes on, and I'll try keep making awesome updates like these. The reason why this change log took so long is because I haven't wrote it up until now! Oh yeah, you are here for the changelog, well look no further! If you want to see the 3rd Year Anniversary Special, click here. One final thing, I will stop posting stuff on google documents, because I want to fully support the steam version. Here we go.

Features in Beta 1.7:


Main Menu:


- Updated Title Screen - Added new graphics on buttons, instead of being drawn as a image, now they are being drawn by code, they can now support multiple languages, text scaling, multiple colors, different types (locked/unlocked) and more! - Added 100+ more splashtexts.

Achievements Menu:


- The Achievement Menu got an overhaul - Added "Show Achievement Page" Button - You cannot get steam achievements with cheats on. - Things that the new achievements have: 1. Achievements are bigger! 2. Achievements have an individual icon! 3. You can now scroll to see more achievements! 4. Most Achievements are tied to Steam Achievements! 5. Secret Achievements Functionality Available! - Added 77 New Achievements, 100 of which are Steam Achievements (will add more in the near future pls steam increase limit), and in total there are 117 Achievements in the game. - All old achievements have been ported.

Settings Menu:


- Made title text animated in most menus (Previously it was only on the Title Screen) - Added "Show Object Number" which is a special Level Editor setting which shows how many objects have been placed in the Level Editor. - Added Casual Mode, casual mode is by default enabled in settings and it basically adds checkpoints to the game. When a checkpoint is reached, you'll respawn there when you die. Casual Mode while it changes the difficulty does not affect progress, so its not really a cheat but rather an accessibility feature. - Added "Auto-Thumbnail" which makes a thumbnail of the Level Editor level automatically from time to time. Disable if you want to make custom thumbnails. - Added "Old Gravity/Speed Numbers" setting which brings back the old sprites of gravity and speed items. Useful if arrows confuse you too much. - You can now enable immunity mode cheat without having to grind for every single skin - Added "No-Clip" cheat, reddie abuses all laws of physics and passes through blocks. Move by going left and right and ascend and descend by "jumping" and "interacting" - If you enable any cheat, the game cannot save stats, challenge time and deaths, main game, and achievements. You have to restart the game to have them save again. - Added "Berserk" cheat which kills all troops and bosses. - Updated Existing Settings - Grayscale Colorblind Improved

Support For Languages:


- Added 5 Languages in the Languages category in Settings: English German French Italian And Spanish

Languages are right now very primitive and needs time and effort (to understand why, it is because of this). Luckily I have a team of translators helping me and that will hopefully improve the quality of the game in other languages. In the future 1.7.X versions you will see more support from these languages, mainly starting with German and then the rest. And of course more will come on their way! - Right now one of the things translated for all languages are statistics, some of the title text and buttons,

Statistics:


Semi-Overhaul to stats screen, stuff is in more color and more viewable, new stats that tracks specific deaths:

Story Mode:


- Added 2 brand new bosses. - New secrets and levels. - Changed certain bad levels from previous versions. - Hat Merchant has new dialog. - Hat Merchant has more hats to sell. - Changed Boss songs (For DMCA Reasons, Nintendon't) - Added new backgrounds in some levels - Coin Converter can now give maximum 300 credits instead of 250, with the following formula: Old Formula: Credits = Coins * (2+(Coins * 0.005)) New Formula: Credits = Coins * (2+(Coins * 0.01))

Hard Mode:


- Balanced Eternal Suffering Difficulty a bit. - New Levels have more hazards. - New Bosses are buffed compared to Main Game in some way or another. - Moreover, not much changed.

Blocks, Items, Level Editor:


- Added Double Jump Item, when collected, it lets you jump mid air. Cannot be stacked but when the second jump is used it can be reused again if the same item is collected once more. - Added invisible variants of red, yellow, green, blue and white blocks. They work pretty much how invisible blocks work. - Updated Sprites for ammo and infinite ammo. - Added Checkpoints (Functionality Mentioned Above) - Added Button Pages in Level Editor, so you can do more stuff in your levels. - It's now possible to make custom music for your levels, for more information click here. - Added Background Changer in Level Editor, you can now add backgrounds (not to be confused with block backgrounds). - Add Star Direction Changer in Level Editor, you can rotate star direction at any angle you wish! - Added Medal Config in Level Editor, you can configure Diamond Medal time and other Medals will copy the time of the diamond medal: Diamond Medal = Chosen Time Gold Medal = Diamond * 1.1 Silver Medal = Gold * 1.2 Bronze Medal = Silver * 1.3 - Rocket Cannons and Cannons can now snap onto the celling. - Added Thumbnail Button in Level Editor. Take a quick pic ;) - Added Publish in Level Editor. Publish your own levels in Steam Workshop.

Workshop:


While there is support for uploading and downloading levels, there is no way to play levels officially yet. So if you want to play custom levels please wait for few updates so we can add this feature :)


In order to publish your level in the Steam Workshop, you need to: 1. Be connected to steam on a legit copy of your game 2. The level must have a player and a door placed 3. Complete the Level 4. Have cheats disabled 5. Diamond Medal Time must be the same or higher than your level completion time. - Once you successfully pass the requirements, you need to read TCC Workshop Rules and accept the Steam Subscriber Agreement. But regardless, if you are a bad little boy, you can just join here.

Fun Mode:


- Added ??????? and online leaderboards buttons in Fun Mode (both WIP) - Added 3 new challenges (One more is coming in Beta 1.7.1) Challenges are Double Jump, Corrupted Spike and [strike]W-#3?#?7 [/strike]Challenges. - 6 New skins (Will add more is coming in Beta 1.7.1) - 8 New Hats (Will add more is coming in Beta 1.7.1) - Added new skins and hats in local multiplayer

Other:


- The code uses more switch/cases, allowing for more performance. - Made certain fonts ASCII to support symbols in common languages. - You can now press F12 to take a screenshot in game, the image with automatically have a name based on a date and will appear in Local Files - If Beta 1.6 and prior was played, the game would create new folders in Local Files and move the save files in them, that way it is now way safer to load old versions of the game without the game's save files being corrupted! - These folders are Custom, Save Files, Screenshots - Added new discord rich presence stuff - Changed how collision works with colored blocks (may be bugs) - Made the hat merchant less hardcoded and more workable - Stars support full 360 degree rotation - Changed how medals work in challenges menu. - Changed how selecting skins and hats works in Customization Menu - The credits counter now has a black rectangle behind the balance

Bugfixes in Beta 1.7:


- Visual bugs fixed (old school endless run highscore was weirdly centered sometimes) - Fixed some lag issues - Fixed spelling mistakes (Mostly in settings) - Fixed some hitboxes in level editor when you are deleting/middle clicking items - Fixed one sound that was missing in cache - Code optimizations - Fixed Texture Issues - Level Editor a bit optimized - Fixed ForsenE skin - In local multiplayer, the particles were supposed to be spawned by players when they move, now that happens in this version. - Fixed Music in Funmode - Fixed Visual Bugs in Customization Menu - Cleaned up bad player code - Fixed Boss 3 buttons being stuck. - Fixed big room challenge medal issue - In "the end" the text at the top now becomes red if you are cheating - [strike]I don't want to scroll through 5 months of various dev versions just assume that I've[/strike] Fixed Many Other Crashes and Bugfixes

  • A difficult platformer with the main mechanic of changing color in order to stand on specific colored blocks to progress. In order to change color, you must pick special items that turn you into a specific color.

    Play over 200 levels with unique items with diverse gameplay that have various items, blocks and hazards, one of the items change gravity and player speed, give you an ability to jump higher, teleport from one place to the other and etc!

    LEVEL EDITOR:

    The Level Editor let's you build levels and it has 102 placeable blocks and items (including backgrounds and liquids). Other main features in the level editor are saving/loading multiple levels, enabling fog, changing music, applying narrator text, and play/build mode. There are litetally millions of different level combinations and hours of fun!

    LOCAL MULTIPLAYER:

    Local Multiplayer can be played with 2, 3 or 4 players. All of the players can customize their look with unlocked skins and hats, and can change controls with 4 presets. Local Multiplayer currently offers two gamemodes, Survival and Race, but we plan adding more, all gamemodes are compatible with all players.

    ENDLESS RUN

    If you want to play through the endless queue of hand-crafted levels, try this gamemode! Three gamemodes are available for Endless Run, those gamemodes are Normal, Old School and Custom Endless Run.

    CUSTOMIZABLE SKINS & HATS

    You can customize your character with skins and hats. Skins are obtained by doing various tasks and most hats are obtained at the hat merchant shop!
