The Colorful Update! - Version 1.7.0 - You now have access to a color picker! - The color picker lets you change slide, marble, and background colors! - Fixed bug with marbles getting stuck in late-game pieces. - Fixed various other bugs. - There are more changes to come soon to prepare for leaving Early Access on Steam!
Hey there, marble heads! It's been a long time coming but the #1 requested feature is finally here! You can now change the colors of marbles, slides, and even the background! You edit the current color palette to your liking and go wild. If you want to reset the palette to default colors, you can toggle the Holiday theme. The #2 requested feature is actually a bug fix: The late-game pieces now have boosters in them to keep the marbles flowing. I also discovered a bug related to any overlapping pieces (like the criss-cross and loops) that would get marbles stuck that should now be fixed. Otherwise, this includes all the bug fixes I could get in since the last release. I hope you're all enjoying the game! I'm planning on adding a volume slider, trying to make the Twitch integration smoother, and fixing up whatever else feels necessary to leave Early Access before the end of the year. Thanks for your support! And one last thing:
PLEASE LEAVE A REVIEW OF THE GAME!
Hey there marble lovers! There's an update on the public beta-test branch that's a basically-finished version of the next major patch, bringing IncrediMarble very close to a state in which it will leave Early Access!
To play this new version, right click IncrediMarble in your Steam library, select "properties," then "Betas," and click the drop-down and choose "beta-test - The open beta test branch." Your game should update and you'll be introduced to the most colorful new feature IncrediMarble will ever receive.
Note: If you're worried about bugs, you can backup your save at (for Windows users)

Considering I haven't updated the pricing since the original release and the economy has shifted around the Globe, I figured I would update the regional pricing for everyone outside the US. So if you've had the game wishlisted for a while and are still on the fence, hopefully the pricing better fits your budgetary needs! The US price remains unchanged... which is, in a way, its own discount. ;) Have fun!
Welcome to IncrediMarble 1.6! It may not seem like much but a few important changes have been made to the game's engine to allow for better updates in the future. First is the floating UI element that you'll see when highlighting any piece that has a wheel or a marble spawner. You're now able to use this floating UI to enable and disable the motor on any wheel piece. The "spawn randomly" button has now been moved to this UI element as well for the marble spawners. If you didn't know about it, this allows marbles to be much less determinate in how they move down your slide tower. It's not the most popular game feature but it's a solid use case for future implementations of this new UI element. Another important change is save file size. Sizes are now 30% smaller! Although this doesn't really seem like it matters considering the save files are already very tiny, it's super important in copying save file text to the clipboard. Although you aren't yet able to transfer saves between platforms, you will eventually, and having these save file text strings be smaller is really important in usability. For folks who have trouble with the end-game, I've actually increased the late-game earnings by about 500% to help you out. Have fun! Finally, a tiny change that anyone with a problem will be happy to have: You can just click a button to copy the save file text to your clipboard for e-mailing to me, the developer, for debugging. Considering I'll probably never be able to fix every single bug in the game, this will be a relief for anyone who wishes to submit any reports. I really wish I could've left early access in the summer but I've been lazy. Sorry. It'll happen someday, I promise.
Happy Holidays to all you marble heads! There's a small pile of presents for you with this major update: [olist]
Hello marble heads! I hope you've all had a great summer! I've added a new beta branch for all three platforms to Steam so experimental IncrediMarble updates can get delivered to you for testing. This new beta test version of IncrediMarble will share the save file you have for the release version of the game. In other words, this is cross-save compatible! In order to access the new beta, simply right click IncrediMarble in your Steam Library, choose properties, select betas, and choose beta-test from the dropdown. This version of IncrediMarble allows you to either hold the right mouse button to create a selection box or hold the Control key while left clicking on pieces. There are still some kinks to work out with this new feature:
- You currently cannot left-click drag the window around while keeping multiple pieces selected.
- Piece highlighting (both visual and mechanical) may be unacceptably wrong.
- Pieces will scrunch up along borders. (Some might consider this a feature?)
The curious case of the missing marbles is hotfixed again. Happy Holiday Weekend!
Fixed a bug where MacOS players could not access the Sandbox Mode DLC. Please mail me at contact@incredimarble.com if you see any bugs! Thank you to everyone helping me make sure IncerdiMarble has as few bugs as possible when it leaves Early Access!
Two small fixes for the Linux version of the game:
- The DLC should now be activating correctly.
- The button opening a webpage for retrieving your OAuth token for Twitch Integration should now smoothly do so.
A fix for the curious case of the disappearing marble slides. (They were still there, you just couldn't see them until you moved the camera again.)
A small fix has been implemented for the Linux version of the game preventing horrible lag when trying to open up links from in-game while the Steam overlay is enabled.
You didn't ask for it, but you got it anyway! MacOS and Linux platforms can now natively play IncrediMarble! Enjoy!
Just a tiny fix to the new build mode for the elevator piece. It should properly stay snapped to the grid now. Thanks to player ikillomega for reporting the bug!
Heya folks! Updates have slowed down significantly and I apologize for that. The plan is still to leave Early Access in the Summer months, though! Until the next update (which should include a tutorial, a couple new fun pieces, and BIG MAYBE multi-selection) I wanted to get something out that's been in pre-release for a while now: Fast building! This new mode (which I need your feedback on and thus doesn't have a way to toggle off right now) lets you very quickly build marble tracks! This should be a boon for... well... everyone! It's honestly a much nicer way to build if you're usually playing with snap mode on. I hope you all enjoy it. Don't forget to leave feedback in the forums if you have any thoughts about it, either positive or negative. Until next time, happy building!
A very kind new player reported an exploit that has now been patched. Thank you, as always, for your support!
Whether you've hit the endgame or wanted more fun for your sandbox, this update should increase your enjoyment by about 20%, as that's the increase in the number of marble slides you can now use!
- Added 6 new slides that cost more to buy but earn more as you use them!
- Pulled back the number of booster arrows on the elevator piece.
- Marbles now drain from the halfpipe 33% faster than before.
There's a few fixes here to get the game ready for a major content patch coming this month... possibly as soon as this week!
- Marbles entering bonus pieces and goal pieces will no longer fail to trigger entry to those pieces due to their inherent multi-piece exploit prevention timer.
- Hitting the Delete key while hovering the cursor over a marble will remove that marble.
- Hitting the Backspace key while hovering the cursor over a piece will refund that piece.
- Hitting the F key while hovering the cursor over a marble will enable marble cam for that marble.
- This is especially useful when doing a marble race via Twitch integration!
- The "all pieces" color selector is hopefully, finally fixed.
- Tip page has been updated with new and fixed tips.
- Some infrastructure has been put in place to support upcoming new marble slides.
- Some text settings have been changed to allow for weirder window sizes.
- I've temporarily enabled some Letter Suffixes to the earlier large numbers. Please provide feedback for how you feel about these. This will only be temporary as an upcoming drop down menu will allow you to choose which exponent suffixes you'd like to have displayed.
Secondly, my Birthday is this weekend! Nothing could make it better than hearing more feedback in the forums so, please, let me know what else you want to see in the game or how much fun you've been having so far!
In my haste to release the last patch, I also broke how color selection works for pieces when "all pieces" is chosen. That is now fixed. Enjoy coloring all your pieces again!
I'm really sorry for anyone who went to play IncrediMarble today and discovered their save was missing! Unity's default save path changed unexpectedly (due to changes made for a separate build of the game) so you may think your old save is gone, but it's not!
This patch should load up the save file found in
%userprofile%\\AppData\\LocalLow\\Fun First\\IncrediMarble
If you want to use the save file created during the previous update, simply grab the save file from
%userprofile%\\AppData\\LocalLow\\Dave Kap\\IncrediMarble
Again, I apologize for this bug. If you have any further troubles, do not hesitate to e-mail help@incredimarble.com or post in the forums!
Want to skip the idle, incremental gameplay? Want to build anything and everything right now? Want a separate save file for a different creation? Want to make better Twitch stream marble races? Want to support independent game development? Buy the Sandbox Mode DLC! The Sandbox Mode is a separate save that you can activate whenever you like. It will initially copy over the marble tower you are currently using but afterwards, you can use it to build whatever towers you want and as many as you want! Heck, you could probably break the game with the freedom Sandbox Mode gives you. Be aware that Sandbox Mode more or less turns the game into a toy! You may never want to go back to Normal Mode. There are no exclusive unlocks in Normal Mode, everything is available in Sandbox Mode and there are likely to be new features exclusive to Sandbox Mode in the future, such as multiple save slots and pre-made tracks to use for the Twitch integration marble racing.
Sorry that it's been a while since the last patch! Both small and large things are being worked on but I wanted to get out an update to coincide with the release of the Sandbox Mode DLC. Here's a quick list of patch notes:
- The WASD keys will now move the camera around. Keybinds coming with a UI update in the future.
- The furthest camera zoom is now further than before.
- You can now hit the F key to enable marble follow cam on any marble you're hovering your mouse cursor over. Again, keybinds will happen later with a UI update.
- Pop-up toggle now properly saves.
- Twitch integration fixes for handling disconnections or hitting the connect button more than once.
- Links now added to the news page.
- DLC page now has a link to the store.
- Fixed the message that comes up when hitting the marble dispenser randomizer button.
The first public test of Twitch integration is now up and running in IncrediMarble! Instructions [olist]
- Set a player limit. Good for very large channels with many chat members. A good system can handle about 500 marbles racing at once but I won't keep you from increasing the number to something larger. Just don't yell at me when it slows your game down!
- You have the option of clearing the player list between races. Also good for larger chats or chats with a very fluctuating audience. Default is off so that smaller audiences only need to join the game once and can participate in many races in a row.
- The !boost command toggle will enable chat members to type "!boost" in chat and gain a burst of speed for their marble. By default they can only do this once per race.
- The !boost spam toggle will allow chat members to type !boost as many times as they want for more bursts of speed. Keep in mind that as long as the beginning of the message contains "!boost" it will work. So if a member types "!boost 1" and then "!boost 2" to get around Twitch's inherent spam blocking, it will in fact boost them twice!
A bit of a developer exploit was snuck in through a bad merge. It's closed now!
Quick hotfix to the quit game panel being doubled up.
First patch! Addresses 2 quick requests from the community:
- Joystick/gamepad bindings removed (causing zoom issues if you have a device plugged in)
- You can now hit the F1 key on your keyboard to hide the UI. Numlock no longer turns off the UI.
After almost 2 years, my solo developed, passion project, idle-incremental marble slide game is out on Steam. I hope you all enjoy it! Give me all the feedback you can give in the forums and let's see what cool stuff we can build together. Thank you for your support!
IncrediMarble will be playable in Early Access starting January 25th, 2020! The exact time will be somewhere between 5am PST and noon PST. If you are a Twitch streamer and would like a sneak peak at the Twitch integration (currently under construction but working) please send a request to streamer@incredimarble.com and I will get back to you soon! I hope you all enjoy the fun of building massive marble slide contraptions with the hint of idle tycoon gameplay!
