Hi everyone!
We've finally did it! In partnership with the amazing team at BoxFrog Games we can proudly say that Lost Wing is now fully launched on Steam, Switch, Xbox And PS4!
It comes with tons of new things compared to the Early Access version: more ships, more tracks, more modes. A combination of procedural and manually designed challenges will bring you the best of both worlds. We hope you enjoy it and remember to leave us a review with your opinion!
Remember that you can also join the community and brag about your spot on the leaderboards in the official Discord for the game:

Hi everyone!
First of all allow me to introduce myself to the community. I am David from 2Awesome Studio we have partnered up with Tim and Craig from BoxFrog Games to port and publish Lost Wing on PC and consoles :)
We really like Lost Wing and want it to make it shine and reach as many players as possible. We really want to thank you for being part of Lost Wing since the beginning and we hope you want to follow us in this new adventure!
So, the plan ahead is the following. Craig and Tim are working hard on getting Lost Wing finalized, they are doing some tweaks to make it even prettier and also some improvements on the gameplay and core loop side. All of this will come to Steam very soon. Lost Wing will also be playable at Gamescom at all 10.1 booth E61 in cooperation with PLITCH. Come visit us there!
In parallel we have opened a Discord for the game where we are doing contests, giveaways and in general having fun with other Lost Wing players. There will be also a Closed Beta with some experimental tests (this will later arrive to Steam) but please register for it so we can provide you access.

Version 0.9 is now available for download!
This update has a ton of new features, including new ships AND tracks AND achievements. Hooray!
Introducing. The Axe
Introducing.. Kadilak
There are 3 Sprint tracks included with this release, these are much shorter than the campaign tracks, and have a preset layout of obstacles, meaning you can master each one to achieve the best possible score. Good luck getting on those leaderboards.
Achievements have now been added, some of them are simple, some of them are really tough.
We have also localised Lost Wing for a lot of our European friends, languages currently supported are: German, French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Portuguese.
There is also a huge amount of optimisation here, you should find the game running much better on a lower end graphics card, or a smooth as butter at 4K for those with serious gaming rigs.
Finally, we have improved the visuals somewhat and added an Ultra graphics setting too.
New Release Version 0.9 coming soon! New ships and sprint tracks
Version 0.9 coming soon!
Hello everyone, we have an exciting new release to announce, this latest update includes a lot of new features and fixes including:
2 new ships, the Kadilak and the Axe
3 new Sprint tracks these are short tracks with a pre-set layout, meaning you need to learn and master them to achieve the best possible score.
Numerous optimisations to all tracks, the game performance has been significantly improved, meaning those with lower spec computers will have a much better frame rate.
The sprint tracks each have a leaderboard, so good luck trying to get to the top!
We look forward to hearing your feedback on the latest features and of course we hope you enjoy them.
Although we dont have an exact date yet for the release, we will be launching some time during April, and we will post another update when we have a defined date for you all.
Version 0.8 is now available for download, just in time for the Steam Sale!
This version introduces the Boss Run, a gameplay mode available to all users that pits you against the bosses of the Industrial, Forest and Canyon environments on an endless loop. You can access the Boss Run mode from the track select screen.
One life, once chance. How long can you survive?
This update also brings various optimisations and a new font found throughout the whole game for improved readability.
Have Fun! :D
Version 0.7 is now available for download!
This update finishes the remaining zones within the Canyon environment, and also brings the Canyon environment out of Preview Mode - meaning you can now report your high scores to the Leaderboards. This is the third unique environment in Lost Wing and paves the way for us to come out of Early Access in the near future.
All this also means THE CANYON BOSS IS WAITING FOR YOU! This is probably our favourite of the bosses, as it has a good variety of attacks and includes some subtle bits of gameplay you need to master to be able to beat it.
Enjoy :)
This update brings a couple of new features: death cams and auto gifs.
- A new death cam is used when you crash on your last life. This camera attempts to put itself in a more cinematic position to show the results of your crash. Weve also added additional crash fx and made the crash physics more dramatic.
- Footage is now captured of the seconds leading up to, and shortly after, your crash on your last life. This footage is converted into gifs automatically, and can be shared to Twitter from the GameOver screen, or alternatively saved out so you can share them wherever you wish.
- Further progress on the Canyon environment, Zone3 is now well into development.
- Swapped the content of left and right notification lists (this moves score to the same side as where score is displayed on the walls).
A small update this time:
- Firstly, theres been a few subtle main menu changes to help improve the visual flow of things - youll now find Controls under the Options menu.
- The Canyon environment now has both Zone 1 and Zone 2 mostly complete - Several new obstacles etc are now present, and additional girders and metal support structures are included.
- The Forest Boss has had some updates, which include some some fixes to the acid spit phase, and additional small spiders now spawn during phases 2 and 3.
- Finally, the Industrial Boss now spawns a variety of pickups along the track as you fight it - these can be positive OR negative ones, so this adds a good amount of extra challenge to the fight.
Enjoy!
Its been a little while since we last updated Lost Wing, and as such were bringing a much bigger update to you than wed originally planned (Winner!). Heres a brief summary of the updates:
Visual updates to the existing Industrial environment.
The Forest environment is now fully unlocked and playable. The leaderboards are open for competition.
The Forest boss is fully implemented too, but were still working on the balancing and attack timing for it. Your feedback on the boss will be very much appreciated.
This update also includes more performance and graphical improvements. You should find the game performs very even on modest system specs.
One of the reasons weve taken a while with this update is that were already a considerable way through the next planned major update - the Canyon environment. This environment is available for preview in this build too, albeit with many placeholder obstacles, no boss included and the leaderboard locked.
Thanks for being with us during Early Access - we hope you enjoy the update :)
Weve been quiet recently, but fear not, weve simply been busy getting the next phase of Lost Wing ready to release. The next update includes quite a lot updates, including the full release of the Forest section.
The following will be available soon:
All Forest zones, sections and obstacles
Zones 1, 2 and 3 are all feature complete with regards to their sections and obstacles. Theres some neat stuff in there, and plenty of obstacles that are quite different in nature to the Industrial track. SPIDERS.
Forest boss
The full implementation of the boss for the Forest zone is in this update. This includes all its attack phases, animations and general mechanics.
What is not complete for the boss is the balancing of health/damage values and the timing of the times when the boss is vulnerable to incoming damage. Well be eliciting feedback from players about changes to make to this over time.
More performance and graphical improvements.
A fairly large change has been made to how the track itself is pieced together at runtime in a (successful) effort to avoid some floating point issues we were experiencing.
When a player managed to survive for extended periods of time without crashing, the issue would become somewhat apparent visually. The further you travelled the more likely the environment and ship would start to flicker and look a bit wobbly. This was a result of the floating point math used for storing the positions of objects (and thus their vertices) for rendering purposes not being precise enough .
For those of you of a less-technical persuasion, heres a little bit of clarification (massively simplified for the sake of brevity - these arent real number examples!).
Floating point numbers are used in computing to store non-whole numbers, i.e. something with numbers after the decimal point. They can store very small numbers (near 0, for example 0.0001) quite well, but their precision becomes much less when dealing with large numbers (so what you intend to be 21496.73321 ends up being 21496.73). In most games this isnt a problem that causes much annoyance, but for Lost Wing where you travel at a high speed, in the same direction, for a lengthy amount of time, these issues become really exaggerated after a while.
Now how did we fix this? This is where we turn to... Futurama... for inspiration. Their ship, the Planet Express, doesnt travel anywhere at all, rather, it moves the entire universe around it.
The track in Lost Wing is laid down like a train track, each new section bolting on the end of the last, somewhere in the distance. As your ship moves forward, the track behind you is removed, and new track sections are placed up ahead.
What we do with our updated system is much the same, with one important addition, the entire environment gets shifted backwards the same amount that the ship moves forwards. The side effect of this is that from the players perspective, everything looks the same as before (as the camera is also moving with the ship and environment) but, crucially, the immediate environment around the ship is really close to 0 (the origin of the world) in terms of object positions etc, so the position of everything you see is super accurate even after seemingly travelling a really long distance.
The result? No more wibbly-wobbly-melty objects!

What would a teaser update be if it didnt include screenshots of new stuff too? Here we go!
Hot off the back of our last update, we bring you some general quality of life improvements in the v0.122 update. The following changes have been made: Features:
- The In-Game User Interface on the walls has been simplified - weve removed the distance text and made changes to the layout of the UI elements. The whole UI colour now responds to the charge level you currently have (it was just the trim that changed colour before).
- The progress bar at the bottom of the screen now shows you your current score in relation to your best score, and the world best score. Your deaths from your current run are also shown with an X above the score on the bar that you had at the time of your death.
- A description of what caused your crash is shown on the game over screen.
- Minor improvements to Industrial track.
- Minor tweaks to Forest track Zone 1 and 2.

The Lunar Sale is upon us! Lost Wing is is 25% off - so give a friend or two a gentle nudge to purchase Lost Wing and help support indie devs ;) The next update for Lost Wing is imminent too, and brings with it some important fixes. Firstly, it should help correct a couple of performance issues that were reported to us on the forums a few days ago - notably some frame rate drops in the Industrial track. Alongside this, memory usage is slightly reduced. Were also adding some general quality of life enhancements, such as the ability to toggle Vertical Sync on and off via the options menu, and the Anti Aliasing setting will now correctly persist after you close the game. We hope to have this update with you within a couple of days at the most - we've just got some final testing to do before we give it the ok to push it live.
