Change: Defense proficiency effects (affects effectiveness of your defense skills): Boosts defense skill's duration by 10% of your proficiency. Boosts defense skill's additional defense by 10% of your proficiency. This is only factored during battle. Change: Attack proficiency effects (affects effectiveness of your attack skills): Boost attack skill's damage by 1/2 of your proficiency. This is only factored during battle. Change: Proficiency gain rate is now 50% chance to increase by 1 for every hit. note: your Hit chance is affected by proficiency. note: For attacks, proficiency increase is also faster if your affinity matches the skill choice. Also more so if you're level was lower than that of your target. In summary: Melee, Weapon, Defense skills are only increased from skill books. Attack skills increases from use of the attack or skill books. Roleplaying skills like Analyze/Steal, are WIP when it comes to increasing proficiency. NPCs can level up from winning battles and increase their proficiency too from attacking. Don't be too careless, especially if you have respawning enabled for your player.
