Redaxium 2 Released

Redaxium 2 Released into Early Access. It's basically a superior Redaxium 1.

There is no save compatibility between the two games.

Redaxium 2 is the official successor to Redaxium 1.
You should atleast appreciate the new visuals.

It uses a more modern Unity3D version and with that came a performance boost!

Patch 1.05

Cultists Rituals!
There are 4 cultists ritual sites.
Destroy ALL the pillars before 13 days are up or you suffer a permanent curse for each.
A completed pillar ritual takes away 2 GP every 50% chance daily permanent basis!
It also removes your ability to travel to that location by map. You'll need other methods.
Cultist Curse has 50% chance to adds 1 additional fatigue or incase of full fatigue: -4% health.
You daily 50% chance lose 100 achievement points per completed pillar too!
Yes these effects are stacking!
As a reward stopping a cultist site you gain 8 GP and 2 PP.
-Your winning scores will reflect and factor how many rituals you stopped!

Change: Cheat menu password reset.

-Fix: Bug where some survival stats changes were stacking for each minute of survival time passed.

-Change/New: About Me section added to Allies talk menu.

-New: Puzzle Boxes! Solving one gives you 1 PP.

Patch 1.03. - Now in maintenance mode!

I've bumped the build version to 1.03.

The game is now in permanent maintenance mode.

Redaxium has been a fully released game since December 27th 2021.

New content too often breaks something especially saved games.
1.02 did this multiple times and i'm completely out of patience now.

The only cure is to stop adding new content. Thus maintenance mode.

I'll fix bugs once in a LONG WHILE, but i'm looking forward to Redaxium 2.
You should as well.

The silver lining is there's two bosses now, and an official end game!
I even tweaked the UI this past week. Although i'm sure it still has issues.

New: God.
God must be appeased. To do this you must make sacrifices at God Shrines.
This is in blood (health) and survival stats.
If you do not earn enough God Points before 6 days is up,
God will take vengeance on you.
There are 4 God Shrines in the game.
-New: Time / Space Ruptures.
Takes 1 MP to try to close them.
Failure to close will randomly temporarily hide them for 1 to 2 days.
You will gain anxiety at random for attempting to close one.
Successfully closing one gives you PP!
With 100 PP, you win the game!
If you win the game, God will leave you alone.
There are 10 Time/Space Ruptures in the game.
-Change: Achievement points gained per day lowered.
(reminder: character's made with respawn mode enabled do not get this benefit)
-Note: You will likely have to re-roll your character or start a new one.

Reminder to use well you need both a rope and a bucket.

But remember to toggle entity scan.

Patch 1.0 is here!

-Fix: Save games were freezing camera/controls for those who skipped tutorial.

-New: To regenerate MP find a Ulagakawwewzi shrine pillar.
You'll need Bodyparts and the specific material type its refill ritual requires.
-Change: The way to know what skills you own is to use the Skillbar menu.
Not the Skilltree menu anymore.
-Change: Stripped complexity of Skilltree menu.
Just hover mouse over skill to know a skill's details before learning it.

Current and Future Plans

As many of you probably know now Redaxium has left Early Access.
It did so on December 27th 2021.

Redaxium is also currently on the eve of version 1.0!

Also Tomorrow is January 1st 2022!

For the TL;DR skip to the bottom where it says "[Schedule]".

Unless more bugs show up, i'm planning a big content addition to celebrate the new year.

However i'm not going to rush. So if it takes a few more days i'm going to make sure I do things right.

I've definitely learnt a lot during Early Access. Frustratingly much.
The kind of lessons that make you have to laugh all the time just to cope.

I'm absolutely still going to maintain Redaxium until I feel it reaches my true vision.

One of the reasons the game is as large as it is so I can freely add to it without weighing other things down.
I suppose it's a too big to fail type of plan in that regard.

In any case i'll probably continue work and support Redaxium all the way to the month of May.

If you feel the game is short on content or lacks depth, don't get depressed.
I may be 1 person but I move faster than a team, I have no red tape to cut through.
..Even if that has lead to some decisions that don't make sense like leaving Early Access kind of early.

That said i'll layout some kind of schedule so you all understand what's coming.

[Schedule]:
-January 1st: the new year. yippee!
-Week 1 to Week 2 of January: Expect new content.
Focus will be on quests and world building.
Specifically finishing the factions and getting the prewritten story into the game is very important to me.
-Mid January to End of March: I've done polls and have a general idea of what people want.
I also have a few large todo lists related to random things.
-Start of May: it is expected end of new content.

Depending on sales I will begin work on a sequel or a whole new game.

Last but not least I want to share with you a thought:

At some point every developer has to choose between: comfort and composure, or chaos and high chance of utter defeat.
If your pride or philosophy doesn't allow the latter pair, you've wasted your own time.

First, I will be refactoring and cleaning up the code for each part of the game.
Almost every part has gotten crufty.

Second, I will still be announcing almost daily any bugfixes or changes to the game thanks to the

I'm dangerously close to reaching the 1.0 version because of frequent patching.
It would be a shame if I got there too early because I simply patch too often.

Fourth, A slowdown in updates is overdue. Fact is: I cannot transition into
making important content if my pace is to release daily. So it must change.

-Broke save compatibility. You'll need new saves. (That means to start over)
-Also: I discovered I accidentally left in a mandatory save incompatibility routine! This would mean the past patches broke your saves each time. This has been deprecated, and now only prints a warning.
-Stairs now properly respond to right-click as a method to use them.
-Beds can now be used by right-click.
-The mass-aggro toward player still baffles me.

Patch 0.50

Media items like books, skillbooks, picture, and picturebook
no longer will have a random level requirement.
-New terminology tab in Help menu.
-Fixed potential bug where player could rotate when viewing an info item.
-Weapon used in attack in TBC is now outputted to activity log for player.
-When player is attacking in TBC the bodypart targeted in the attack is now outputted to the activity log.
-Attempted a fix of weird mass aggro. I'm not sure if I solved it.
I'm not positive but there may be some kind of enemy of my enemy is my friend situation being triggered.
-Generic Books now have a more limited title length.
-Inventory Drag & Drop should work a bit more intuitively now.
