
Hi everyone!
Finally I'd like to present the update 0.9.9 introducing the new UI system and controls. We've spent a lot of time on the system, but it was truly necessary. The game has also migrated to a new Unity version and the inventories data structure has been improved. We've also implemented a new control system that should improve game handling, including gamepad controls.

There have been a lot of concerns from the community about slow updates. We would be happy to speed up the process, but the GUI part turned out most difficult. Currently we have only 2 programmers employed, but we are giving our best.:)
But before I get into details on the new update, a few words about our plans and some other small tweaks.
Controller does not work in this update. The feature has been temporary disabled, and we even removed the Steam description part about gamepad support. We are going to work on the feature in the next few weeks. So full gamepad support will be implemented in version 0.9.10. And for now I kindly ask you not to use gamepads.:)
There are some minor balance tweaks. Now the animals will breed a bit faster, so boars and bears will appear sooner. Also we've removed the rotten egg from the first sword recipe and added a copper ingot instead. The number of items in a single cell has been increased.
What to expect in the upcoming updates?
ver. 0.9.10:
1. Fast running and animations for the main character and other mobs.
2. Full controller support (PS, Xbox, Steam and etc.)
ver. 0.9.11
1. Underground dungeon maps
2. Portal system for quick transportation between workshops and underground.
In between implementation of main updates we are going to release some patches and fix bugs. Additional goals include:
1. Consider the contents of all your chests during crafting.
2. The problem with multiplayer connection for players from China and Canada. We have discovered the source of the problem and are awaiting an update from Unity to fix it. I will get back to this issue in the next update. But please rest assured we are definitely going to work on this problem
3. If all players from a multiplayer game are offline, their castle cannot be attacked.
And now for the 0.9.9 update.
1. GAME CONTROLS (mouse and keyboard)
Below I am listing all hotkeys and key combinations for game controls. This info will also be copied to the main game page.
1. Use (activate) an item in inventory - RMB
2. Drag&Drop full stack - LMB
3. Drag (half stack), Drop (1 piece) - L.ALT+LMB
4. Sell/Buy 1 piece - Ctrl + RMB (also drop a full stack)
5. Move/Sell/Buy a full stack - Shift + RMB
6. Attack - F
7. Shield defense - С
8. Pick up item - Q
9. Dig a door/Build - E
10. Chat - Y
11. Map - M
12. Dragon - R
13. Dig/Collect/Chop/Open craft menu - Space
14. Inventory - I

So, now we have a quick access panel with 7 cells. First 5 cells are used for weapons, tools, arrows and cannon balls. You can fill the last 2 cell with any items and use them via hotkeys 6 and 7.

Inventory now includes 2 sections, so there is space for more items.


Now you can remove all equipment from the hero and he hit enemies with his leg if there is no weapon in his hands. Next we will add some more animations, like a headbutt and a hand blow.
2. Craft window.
We have opened all recipes, so now you can simply hover over a cell to view the craft recipe.
Now there are 3 states for craft cells.
1. Bright – when you have enough resources and can craft the item.
2. Dark - when you don't have enough resources.
3. Locked – when a workshop upgrade is required for crafting this item.


Simply press LMB to craft and the new item will be automatically added to your inventory (providing you have enough resources and the cell is bright). We are going to display messages about new crafted items, collected items and items added to your inventory. To craft 1000 boards you will have to press the icon 100 times, but this should still be faster than working with the old UI.
3.Temple window.
As you know, you cn resurrect the dragon in the Temple. The building has no other functions. You don't have to drag and drop any items: the resurrection button will be active if you have enough resources.

4. You will notice that the "Mail" button has been removed. Use the Y key to open chat.
5. The character window has also been changed. A new Diplomacy window has been added to display who is playing with you and their progress. The host can now ban and delete players.
6. Store.
The controls have been slightly changed to avoid issues.
1. Sell/Buy 1 piece - Ctrl + RMB
2. Sell/Buy a full stack - Shift + RMB

Simply hover the mouse cursor over an item in the inventory to find out the selling price. The cost will be displayed always, in any location.

Simply press the map to get out of the store!
Dear gamers, this is not the final improvement of the GUI and controls system. We are going to continue updating it during the entire development period, also based on your feedback.
