Hey settlers Its time to raise your sails and embark on an exciting new journey! The Risenna Scenario is here, inviting you to explore distant islands and establish trade relations with a faraway kingdom. Plus, weve added chickens to your settlement because whats a village without a few feathered friends? This update also brings improved visuals, bug fixes, and balance changes to keep your settlement thriving.

Highlights of the Update

New Scenario: The Risenna Scenario lets you explore new islands and build trade routes across the seas.

8 New Maps: Including an ice landscape and volcano.

Chickens Arrive: Welcome chickens to your settlement and enjoy a new source of eggs and meat.

Improved Visuals: Enhanced the Kerzoven story intro and Eliane of Kerzoven visuals.

Patch Notes 2024.12.17:

New Content:

Added the Risenna Scenario: Explore new islands and establish trade relations with a distant kingdom.
Added Chickens to the game.

Gameplay Improvements:

Faction animals that cant find a path to their home now display a local warning instead of a map-wide one.
Balanced the tailor storage upgrade cost from 10 planks down to 5 per year.
Improved the detail text in the Journal quest UI for multiple subtasks.

UI Fixes & Improvements:

The wealth of extinct/joined factions now correctly shows 0 in the UI.
Fixed an issue where recently deceased people were briefly counted as unemployed in the faction UI.
Improved Kerzoven story intro visuals and Eliane of Kerzoven visuals.

Modding Support:

Added the ability to get items from anywhere in the faction if a quest is marked accordingly.
Added TaskTitleMark for quest accept prompts.
Added support for timed accept quests and long accept prompt question texts.

In a deeply simulated world, every action has a reaction. Take care of your villagers, resources, production lines and the interaction with the complex environment. How much will you intervene in the course of nature? You decide.

Build Your Economy

Manage the acquisition, refinement and distribution of resources. The goods must be transported to the desired location by someone actually having the time and space to do it.

Care About Your Villagers

Manage the needs of the citizens. They are “alive” and have a specific home, workplace and broad range of needs. But animals also look for food, get thirsty, sleepy, form groups, look for social interactions, and try to find their place in nature. Even plants need water, the right temperature and try to survive.

Find Balance (Or Not)

Humans share the same space and resources with nature and influence each other. While in the beginning the influence of the humans is insignificant due to the small size, it gets more and more important when the city - and its needs - grow. Risk of extinction and risk of overpopulation may form depending on the actions of the player.

Observe The Vibrant World

The Seasons and weather affect the gameplay. Certain plants only grow in certain seasons and the temperature and weather affects the Humans, Animals, Plants, and the Environment.

Take Your Time

You set the pace. Pause the game, speed it up or slow it down whenever you want. Nature is robust, and your villagers unlock more complex needs with your progression.

Build Your Own Scenarios

Create own maps and scenarios in the editor. The whole landscape can be changed and the objects on it. Add new maps or link existing ones together to a new world. You can connect water flows and create paths for travellers.
