Hey Fans,
Stegosoft and DANGEN have been working for the past year to get a physical edition of Ara Fell and Rise of the Third Power made, and we can finally announce that we've done it!
I know a lot of folks have been asking where they can find a soundtrack for these two games, and I'm happy to share that we've secured the rights to have Ara Fell's soundtrack included in the collector's edition. In total, there's about ~30 songs on the CD!
There's some other cool stuff in the collector's box, too. Here's the full contents:
- Ara Fell soundtrack CD
- A double-sided cloth map of Lita's hand-drawn map of Ara Fell
- An enamel pin of half the Rise party ferrying in Lilly's boat
Hey everyone!
We hope you enjoyed the release of Rise of the Third Power earlier this year!
If you're a fan of R3P's storyline involving Rowan, Corrina and their companions, please consider nominating it for the 'Outstanding Story-Rich Game' award!
As always, thanks very much for the continued support!

Hey everyone!
It's been a while since we've taken a closer look at one of the R3P characters.
Aden
Aden, ???: Little is known of the warlock known as Aden. He keeps his secrets and his motives largely to himself. He's on a mission to kill Viktoriya, but the reason is as mysterious as he, himself. He's the moody type, to say the least, disinterested in conversation or social interactions in general. He's often found brooding quietly by himself. Still, he seems to have eyes for someone in the party...
In battle, his dark powers can be used to summon demons and deteriorate the life force of his enemies, stacking progressively more powerful degenerative effects over time.

Hey everyone!
It's time to meet the fourth character in Rise of the Third Power!
Reyna Bertrand
Reyna, 32: Cirinthian, Priestess of the Celestial sect of the Empyrean Faith, healer, and high ranking member of the Resistance. She has one goal, which she will stop at nothing to achieve, and that is averting the Second Great War. She strives to be kind and nurturing, but to stop the war, there is no price too high, no rule that can't be bent, no code that can't be broken. She will not abide watching those caskets flowing into her church, not again.
In battle, she heals and protects her compatriots while also using her Celestial powers to augment allied abilities, as well deal her own powerful magical attacks.

- Fixed issue where some shop items would not appear on second playthrough
- World map names no longer persist into battle
Hey everyone!
We hope you're enjoying the latest patch fixes! Time to meet another of the main cast!
Arielle Liriatta
Arielle, 18: One of the three daughters of King Horatio, she is a princess of the naval powerhouse, the kingdom Cirinthia. Her father played a major role in the fight against the Arkadyans during the Great War, but now seeks to ally with them to achieve his own ambitions. Arielle has no interest in politics or adventure, yet is forced to play both games simultaneously.
She somehow manages to engage enemies with a ship's cannon. It takes a moment to prepare and aim, but when she does, her cannon rains down devastating area-of-effect damage.

Hey everyone!
Are you enjoying Rise of the Third Power? Let's take a closer look at another one of the main characters!
Corrina Aiya Tourea
Corrina. 19. Half-Tariqqi, Half-Cirinthian, the parents she doesnt remember met during the lead up to the great war, and died during it, fighting alongside one another, orphaning their only daughter.
Believes the only way shell see her parents again is if she falls in battle like they did, and she fights every battle as though it will be her last, using high-risk, high-power single target attacks. She's cheerful and energetic on the outside, broken on the inside, but she never lets it show.

Hey everyone!
The Rise of the Third Power release is right around the corner! Who's ready to take up arms? In the meantime, meet the cast of characters from this dramatic, story-rich RPG!
Rowan Val Serino
Rowan. Age 35. From the island nation of Angelico but sailed for the kingdom of Cirinthia in the great war as a mercenary. Took up piracy after he was dishonorably discharged, now seeks redemption for a wasted life and the blood he has spilled. He's jaded, still recovering from a traumatic childhood, but fiercely loyal -- maybe to a fault.
In battle, he acts as a brawler, taking damage and dishing it out in turn with a mix of taunts, defensive cooldowns, and powerful single-target attacks.
Rise of the Third Power releases on February 10th! Be sure to follow these updates for news and more character profiles!

Hey All, We're starting beta for Rise of the Third Power! Our plan is to hold multiple rounds of beta as we finish up the game, each one having more features implemented than the last. The rounds will likely be 2 weeks apart, and we'll have exact start dates as we get closer to each. If you'd like to participate in the beta, please let me or Evelyn know which round(s) you're interested in via Discord / Steam DM / Email. Please note that the first 3 rounds are Windows only. The 4th round will have support for macOS and Linux. Console builds can only be run on dev hardware, so unfortunately beta console builds are getting beta tested by staff only. Here's what to expect in each round:
Round 1
Story and battle are finished and the game is totally playable. Recommended if you're mainly looking to play through the story and want to play as soon as possible. Missing Features:
- No sound effects
- No ambient sounds
- 5/8 characters have skill animations
- No enemy animations
- No difficulty modes
- End-game side content beyond regular end-game side content not added yet
- No misc. loot to find in towns
- No achievements
- Placeholder icons
- Plenty of minor bugs that won't cause a crash (e.g. missing text, missing icons, incorrect tile collision)
- No vsync
- No macOS or Linux support
Round 2
More finished than the previous round, but still a ways to go. Recommended if you're up for playing the game unpolished. Missing Features:
- Some sound effects
- ~7/8 characters have skill animations
- No enemy animations
- Some difficulty modes
- End-game side content beyond regular end-game side content not added yet

- Placeholder icons
- Plenty of minor bugs that won't cause a crash (e.g. missing text, missing icons, incorrect tile collision)
- No vsync
- No macOS or Linux support
Round 3
Almost finished, just lacking polish. Recommended if you're looking to play the game in its mostly finished state but don't want to wait for round 4 of beta. Missing Features:
- Some or most enemy animations
- End-game side content beyond regular end-game side content not added yet
- No achievements
- Some minor bugs that won't cause a crash (e.g. incorrect tile collision)
- No macOS or Linux support
Round 4
Mostly polished, very close to what will be the final game. Missing Features:
- No achievements (probably)
- Few minor bugs that won't cause a crash (e.g. incorrect tile collision)

Every little bit helps, so don't hold back! Our kickstarter campaign has a ton of details about the game, the characters, story, combat and more, so check it out for that reason alone. Also, notice that the T2 backer level at $10 offers a copy of the game as a reward (which is the retail price), so if you planned to buy it on release anyway, grabbing the T2 reward will be a great way to help us get funded! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/901025964/rise-of-the-third-power Feel free to ask any questions or leave any thoughts in the comment section below. R3P Linux [941.12 M]
1587, 2A - 15 years have passed since the guns of the Great War at last fell silent. The conflict rocked the world, leaving half a generation of men and women lying dead on the battlefield. Of the many players that had acted on the world stage, only two remained: the kingdom of Cirinthia and the ancient Republic of Tariq.
In time, Dimitri Noraskov, a hero to the defeated Kingdom of Arkadya, rose from the ashes. He saw his king as a coward for surrendering, and a traitor for submitting to the Treaty of Evenheart. So did the people. They supported Noraskov when he overthrew the king. They supported him as he reclaimed the lands that had been stripped of them. And they supported him as he raised an army. Noraskov had theorized that the nations of the world were still too worn by the Great War to enforce the terms of the Treaty. Thus far, his gambit has proven successful.
The Arkadyan Empire shows no signs of curbing its aggression. It is feared by many that a reprise of the Great War, that at one time could have been prevented, is now all but inevitable. But there are those that believe it can yet be stopped...
Rise of the Third Power is a love letter to the glory days of the console style RPG, with modern conveniences such as auto-save and a combination of the best elements of Japanese and Western style gameplay and writing. Experience this fusion of East and West, old and new, in a game meant to surpass Stegosoft Games' previous work in every way!
- STORY DRIVEN - Join a party of eight, each with their own unique ambitions, perspectives and personalities as they embark upon a suicide mission to topple the Arkadyan emperor, Dimitri Noraskov. A blend of humor, drama and tragedy await players as they navigate the treacherous world of Rin.
- POLITICAL INTRIGUE - As the world of Rin recovers from the Great War, the balance of power remains badly skewed, with vacuums of power still waiting to be filled. The player's party will be both beset and aided by schemers, liars and betrayers, all while the clock ticks down to a reprise of the greatest war in human history.
- CUSTOM BATTLE SYSTEM - Rise of the Third Power offers eight playable characters in a battle system built from scratch, each with their own strengths and weaknesses, all of whom are meant to participate in battle simultaneously without the need for tedious party management. Combine each character's unique powers and disadvantages, analyze the abilities of your foes, set your formation and charge into battle.
- PERSISTENT EQUIPMENT - Each piece of equipment found, purchased or stolen is a permanent, unique upgrade for each character. Instead of purchasing replacements, the player purchases upgrades. No more buying that awesome helmet back in town only to stumble over a better one as treasure in a dungeon. Each character has 3 equipment slots with 8 upgrades each, with 192 to find in total. This system avoids the tedium of inventory management, while also giving the completionist something useful to hunt for.
