Unit All of them, embarrasingly, are of very low quality. Clearly, this is not why I became a developer, my dream ever since I was a kid. So, for respect to you my players, and myself, I have decided to remove these games too. I'm already working in a bigger project. What many asked for. A brand new map to hunt in!

Fixed several big bugs that prevented online gameplay. Fixed seeing the other players not lighten by ingame lights.
Fixed the camera. Which was horrible, I know. Now it doesn't follow the character's head movement. It feels so much better overall. Enjoy!
In case you want to personalize your Ghost Hunter Pc, seen in the Operations Center most commonly knows as "The truck". Now you can choose among many colors for the background or commonly known as the wallpaper. Before "logging in", to the left you will see the new option. Change the wallpaper anytime you want! Good Hunting!
I have decided it's time for a Full Release. Early Access lasted some months, a lot of improvements were made. It did its job :p
- I greatly improved performance.
- Added items.
- Balanced them.
- Changed them.
- Changed the characters (You really didn't like the first ones. Eh? :p).
- Improved build size too.
- Fixed TONS of bugs.
- Among many other changes.
Fixed Mantle dissapearing. Fixed Can see dead players. Fixed Holy Water not being used up.
Added a text that makes it clear the first "house" you see is the Headquarters. Some players were afraid to even enter the HQ xd. Fixed footsteps audio not working on standing animation.
QoL Changes
Menu sound is only local now (other players don't listen when you press a button). Made Journal bigger so it's easier to click on the right evidence "button". Made Light Tubes much less bright. Made doors open/close sensitivity higher. Moved Settings board back to HQ. Removed redundant messages in Operations Center. Removed "back" button in the Computer screen which is redundant too (you can leave match in the journal).
Fixes
Fixed Big issue with items not appearing at all (big one :p).
Added Added yet another info text. Some players had a hard time figuring out how to use the Main Menu (in the Computer inside the Operations Center). Fixed Flashlight still going on after match is over (like there is a hunt). Items having collision sounds when held. Video cameras not being placed correctly.
Hotfix: Removed the dynamic clothes. It had a very big impact into performance, even freezing the game for couple seconds when changing skin.
Size matters!
Greatly improved size. From around 6GBs install size to around 2GBs. Also greatly improved performance with little to no loss in quality. So long gone are the days in which you had to decide if install this game or not, its just 2GBs bruh ;)
Quality of Life
- Flickering of the flashlights is more "natural", more irregular, when the Entity hunts. It happened to be very "regular", unrealistic. It broke the immersion in the game just looking at that predictable on and off. Not anymore! :)
- Changed Entity sound for a much better (not so short) one. Old one was very bad to be honest, Not even I liked it. The new one is more "ghosty", more scary and definitely not as short as the other one. Enjoy.
- Added animation when dying. A highly requested one, I added a short, minimal animation when dying. I will improve on that one later on.
- Added sounds to couple things to make the maps feel more "alive". That refrigerator is definitely ON, also the Hands dryer is working for some reason (maybe the entity has something to do with it?). And some others sounds I added to make the maps more "alive".
The First Steps
The first steps in a game are important. S.I.N. Unit lacked (and still does to be honest) a proper tutorial-like feature. Well, the beginning of that already came in a way of "info boards" that gave all the info of the Evidence Types, The Controls, The Objectives. But, it wasn't enough, so I have added some other improvements into that regard:
- Added little info texts so new players know what to check first before entering the haunted location. (<--Items, <--Evidence Info, Objectives -->, Controls -->).
- Added Entity (caught in a glass cage) to HQ. You can test your equipment with it. This functions as a tutorial of some sort. Players can quickly test the equipment and know what each one does.
The Fixes
Not too many fixes this build. All seems to be good.
- Fixed a graphical error with the clothes of the priests.
Added Skin Variants which you can buy in a DLC :)
Changed characters. No more... fan service ;). They are priests now. Added a little scale animation when selecting a map.

Now you can take photos of evidences while they are in another players hands. Made entities faster. Walk slowly effect is now less severe. Changed Trapper of Souls model from a zapper gun to a Dybbuk Box. Improved volumetric lighting. Added: Halloween decorations. Added: A little info text reminding the player the main objectives plus asking them to check all info on the Operations Center. Fixed: Collision errors. Fixed: Synchronization error with items.
The price for the game will be adjusted soon. As soon as Steam authorizes the change. It will be lower than the current price which is 19.99 USD. This is because of the other games in the same genre (ghost hunting games) all having a lower price barrier, which makes people "prefer" them :p It will be at least 1 week from now. This is the required announcement 7 days prior so the players know on time about the price change n.n Thank you for your time. Happy gaming!
Entity now only gets on fire (and "receives damage") when the Trapper of Souls is hitting it and not lasting 2 seconds per hit like before. Changed ground texture to a higher resolution one. Removed redundant PostProcessing effects on the Video Cameras. Only Main camera have those effects now. That means the game is more performant overall. You can now turn screens night vision on/off while dead. Basically you just can't use items while dead. Also you're invisible. Added: Info if a player is dead to Big TV on Operations Center. Added: Select item with 1-4 digit keys. (Only keyboard obviously, controller is unaffected). Added: More graphics levels (6 total). At minimum it should run in most PCs. Fixed: Collision issues with some objects (keep reporting any collision bug you see! Thank you. :D Fixed: Doors immediately opening with one click sometimes. Fixed: Player Headcams not working which was already fixed before and unfixed later on, or so it seems...
Changed boards color so they can be read with flashlight on. Added: A Invite Friends button to lobby and private lobby screens. Which opens an overlay to invite your friends via Steam message. Which obviously means, Steam message invites now work (Open steam overlay, right click your friend -> Invite to game). Added: Hunt Effects video to Headquarters TV. Fixed: You could get more than 4 of each item. Now you can only get 3 extra (4 total) of each item instead. Obviously this doesn't count Calm Meds which is 6 max. Fixed: Total Terror (now really fixed). Fixed: Items' unsynchronization between players. Fixed: Djinn Entity type never appearing. Fixed: Item hit noises when loading a Map. Fixed: Lag in most cases. Fixed: Doll moving after the possession was over (in a sit position by the way). Fixed: Continue after match ended loaded the map the host has selected instead of the Headquarters. Fixed: Floating objects at ZG offices.
EMF evidence photo message now says the EMF level instead of "2+". Improved the looks of the Operations Center floor. Now you may lose XP (experience) if you died, didn't collect the right evidence, or didn't catch the entity. As per the players request. Losing XP means you can lose a level. Which does the contrary of gaining a level, which is getting a random item. Lowering level, thus, loses you a random item. Changed the Doll laugh (it got confused with a random scary noise). It's looping now. And it's a different audio altogether. Changed Police Dept. walls and floor colors. Apparition now teleports infront of the random player instead of in the same exact position as them. Added: Trees to most of the maps' outsides except School map, it already had trees :p. Fixed: Police Department map was too dark.
Added: Limit FPS option (60, 144 or 240). Fixed: Light glitch. Fixed: Total Terror stat not working. Fixed: Music starting at the doors in School map, not 2 meters before. Fixed: Issue with School floors.
Added: Long-awaited Progression system.Each level unlocks you a random extra item (you have at least 1 of each item). Added: Border to EMf levels in journal, to show only one can be selected at any time. Added: Primary objective info to Big TV on Operations Center.
Entity is now caught faster when shot with the Trapper of Souls. Changed the Notebook and its "writings" graphically. Made Ghost Audio more common. Removed limitation of can only carry 1 item of each type. Removed limitation of cannot use certain things while dead. Lowered bloom even further (you people really hate bloom right? :p) Lowered the Voice volume in the computer. Added: Hunt effect info at the top of the screen when the Entity is in an active hunt (Players got confused why their controls got reversed for example). Fixed: Cameras Night Vision didn't restart correctly when going in and out of a match. Fixed: TV Receivers didn't restart correctly when going in and out of a match. Fixed: The Entity and The Doll could raise your Terror through walls. Fixed: The Door/Stairs issue in Denis map everyone was complaining about. Just rotated the door 180 degrees, now it opens to outside thus not blocking the path to the stairs. Fixed: Mouse suddenly switching direction too fast. Fixed: Entity could get stuck on the Garage in Denis map. Fixed: Several collision issues (sofas, chairs, etc).
Remapped some of the buttons for Gamepads. Keyboard+Mouse is unaffected. Added: Item descriptions when hovering the crosshair over them. Added: Missing info about control key for sprinting to the Operations Center. Added: Secondary objectives, randomly selected per match. Fixed: Trees bugged in School map. Fixed: Rain inside Zoryth Games Offices building. Fixed: Collision issues in Zoryth Games Offices. Fixed: Players auto-ready when finishing match. Fixed: Photos succeded when Evidence Item not on the photo. Fixed: Coin could be used without being near the Entity (in certain situation). Fixed: Doll could obstruct the Entity. Fixed: Info board too far from wall in Operations Center.
Added: Hunt Effects. Each Entity has a different Hunt Effect. Thus, evidence is randomized instead of fixed per Entity type (so players can't just guess the evidence watching the Hunt Effect). Hunt Effects by Entity Type: Demon: You move reversed. Ghost: Regular hunt. Phantom: It's completely invisible, just the sound. Shade: All doors close, you cannot open doors. Spirit: It doesn't make a sound. Poltergeist: You look reversed. Apparition: Teleports to a player periodically. Elemental: It always follows a player even if it cannot see them. Djinn: You walk slowly. Added: Rain. It may rain when starting a job. Added: Hunt Effects information to Operations Center. Added: Tired sound (while recovering stamina). Fixed: Graphical error on the black boxes near the computer in Operations Center.
Improved some Items materials. Field of View increases while sprinting. Walk Animation is faster when sprinting (as it should be). No longer can sprint while crouching. Map selected more clear (on lobby screen). Smoother synchronization between the players position, rotation, etc. Players can now go through the Entity, so it cannot trap you in a corner. Players can now go through the Good Entity too. Player walks faster. Made it so Ambient Music starts at the door not 2 meters before in "5th Street #347. St. Denis" Reworked Operations Center Computer. Changed the anime girls for skull emblems. Changed the color of the background. Changed Good Entity's model. Ghost orbs are bigger. Added: Volumetric Lighting (with option to turn ON/OFF). Added: Explosion effect for Coin use. Added: Footsteps sounds. Fixed: Could see the dead players' Level Badge. Fixed: Could get out of bounds in "Headquarters" Fixed: Could get out of bounds in "5th Street #347. St. Denis" Fixed: Could get out of bounds in "Zoryth Games Offices" Fixed: Could get out of bounds in "Kinkajou City Police Department" Fixed: Ambient music continued on Operations Center if left match while inside the haunted locations. Fixed: Items not being held correctly when changing character.
Increased experience needed per level. From 100 to 1000. Added: Badge with player level to the character's right arm. Fixed: Camera took pictures from behind too. Fixed: Sometimes spawning outside of the Operations Center.
Added: More relevant photos to take: EMF Level 2+, Writing, Book of Life Burning, Audio Registered. Removed: Depth of Field effect. The game looks much better without it. Fixed: Breath (from below 0 C degrees temperatures) showing in different floor as the Entity. Fixed: Invisible object in "Kinkajou City Police Department". Fixed: Collision bugs in "Kinkajou City Police Department". Fixed: Small freezes some players experienced. Fixed: You could get on top of the Stairs handrail in "5th Street #347. St. Denis". Fixed: Photo of Good Entity now works.
Depth of Field effect is improved. Make player hitbox smaller (Now they can pass through narrower places). Entity is even faster when hunting (last time wasn't enough, now you will be really scared :p). Heartbeat sound dissapears when the player is dead. Improved Secret Code Pasting. Doors now "open more", up to 90 degrees. Lowered volume of Coin use. Coin can only be used after the Entity has hunted once. Added: Exit Match option to Journal. Added: Video to the upstairs TV on "5th Street #347. St. Denis." Added: Screen grain effect when your Terror is raising. Fixed: No collision bugs on "Zoryth Games" offices. Fixed: Stuck places in "Zoryth Games" offices. Fixed: Evidence showing one floor below the Entity. Fixed: Trapper of Souls ray showing when not ON. Fixed: Trapper of Souls made the turn on sound when throwing it. Fixed: Coin not correctly dissapearing after use. Fixed: Entity cannot Hunt twice in a row now, so long hunts are gone.
Ghost is faster when hunting. Ghost inflicts much more terror if very near the player. Ghost Audio is more common. Doll possession is more common. Fingerprints are brighter. Moved Settings board from "Headquarters" to "Operations Center" (people had a hard time finding the settings). Fireplace sound no longer has infinite distance (both in "Headquarters" and "5th Street #347. St. Denis". Added: New item, the Coin. Used to provoke a Hunt. Fixed: Invisible sofa in "5th Street #347. St. Denis". Fixed: Map selector images graphical bug.
Improved doors even further. They are more like what players are used to.
- Lowered music volume.
- Made random noises less common.
- Make it harder. The Entity now inflicts you more Terror.
- Made secret code for (private lobbies) not visible by default. Can click on it to make it visible.
- Crouching is not instant now.
Chanty sound of book of life volume lowered. Ghost sound (when he is not visible) volume also lowered. Moon light now it doesn't move. No reason for something noone even noticed and provoked some graphical glitches. Raised doors' open/close sensitivity. All Audio recorders now show the same sound at the same time (near the entity). They were more "independent" before which makes no sense. Fixed: Vertical doors had no collision (Zoryth Games Offices map). Fixed: Police map can get out of bounds. Fixed: Cannot see Headcams of other players in the Operations Center's screens.
Added info about the evidence types in the Operations Center. Also added info about the Good Entity and her role. Made bloom less strong. Fixed: The doors not opening properly. Fixed: Several other minor bugs.
The game is ready, as I said in the last announcement. Fully playable, rigorously tested. Should work on at least 10% of PCs n.n maybe even 20%. If you like the game, tell all your friends about it! :D If you don't like the game also tell all your friends about it, maybe they will like it :p Community Hub is open for any discussion about the game, there is also a discord. Check them out!
Basically the play testers get an empty folder when trying to play the beta. And steam support hasn't replied in 4 days, presumably because I told them to hurry up a bit on twitter. Thus, I will proceed with a full release in 1 or 2 days. Still Early Access, fully playable and rigorously tested by a handful of people. I'm sure you will enjoy it :p
Closed Beta, also known as "Playtest", is Online. Just request access in the little button on the top of the Store page. ;) It will be a small pool of players for now.
A Closed Beta or as Steam calls it: a Playtest, will soon be available for a limited amount of users. I'm awaiting the approval from Steam. In the meantime, wishlist and follow the game for updates! Happy gaming
In a matter of weeks you will be able to bescared... I mean, play S.I.N. Unit and catch many Entities ;) The game is fully playable, but it needs some tweaking and a stable direction. You can help! S.I.N. Unit Depot Linux [6 G]
Beware it is no easy task. First gather all the information you can, use your equipment to your advantage: EMF readers, Holy Water, Thermometers, UV Flashlights, among many many others. Find all the evidence, discover what kind of entity or ghost is haunting the location and catch it for your collection!
- Prepare mentally, psychologically.
- Enter the haunted location.
- Find the Entity's or Ghost's current haunting spot.
- Gather evidence, fingerprints, temperatures below zero, doll possession, etc, etc...
- Discover the Entity's or Ghost's type.
- Catch it with the TOS (Trapper of Souls) device correctly configured for that kind of Entity!
- A good Entity will help you.
Use the radio to speak to your team and tell them when you find new evidence. Together you can discover the truth and be able to catch the Entity. Up to 4 investigators can go on a mission together.
Whatever you do, do not forget, you are still human. You will be terrified of being near the Entity. Your Terror level will be displayed in the way your vision will lose the sense of color, also your heart will be louder and louder. Till you finally die. Use your items to prevent that from happening and DO NOT be near the Entity for long periods of time, especially... when It is hunting.
You will have an ally. A benevolent ghost that will help you. Listen carefully to her humming. Get close and you will lose all fear.
