- Added Endless Mode! Test your skills to the limit and see how far you can go before either you or the game breaks. You can still earn Slayer Points in this mode so it serves as a valid alternative to the original 'Classic' mode. - Besides Endless Mode, the aim of this update is to consolidate and improve on what we released at 1.0. We have a lot of bug fixes this update and the game has become very stable since 1.0. You can read about these in more detail in the small updates since launch. Balance changes: Removed the 'Channel' Enchant. The King now has more base HP to make the first go at the boss a bit more climactic. Infinite draw combos should now be much harder to achieve. Plus lot more and updating as I get feedback. Some quality of life improvements including a nicer highlighter for Tiles. The next update will add a whole bunch of new Cards, Enchants, Enemies and more, based on a 'leafy' theme. Tell me what you want to see in the next update!
- More fixes for Achievements. Please let me know if you find any more bugs.
- Fixed master volume slider. - Adjusted title screen for 21:9. Not getting reports of any other bugs but I'm sure they're out there. Please let me know if you find any. We're 1 week since release and 4 reviews away from having a review score, would really appreciate honest reviews on Steam!
- New Dialogue to help clarify things. - Confirmed fix for Chinese text characters. Up next: I'll continue to monitor the game and fix any bugs that are reported. Tentatively saying the next big update should be up by the end of March 2022. Taking feedback on what to prioritize for this update so get involved to have a say.
- Fixed bug with Steam Achievements. - Translations now added to Controls screen. New dialogue incoming soon to help clarify some things. Also there may still be issues on missing text characters in Chinese and I'm working on that.
- Burning Cards should now update immediately. - Fixed left over status effect graphics from previous battles. - Sorted out fonts issue for Chinese and Cyrillic. Let me know if you find anything else! There are some known issues with the tutorial. This will likely receive a big re-work in the next big update.

I am proud to announce that Grid Slayer will be leaving Early Access on February 2nd 2022, 2/2/2022. The game is so much better off thanks to your feedback and guidance during Early Access. I've had an absolute blast working on this from start to finish and I hope you all have just as much fun playing the finished product. It doesn't end here. For as long as people keep playing and for as long as there are good ideas, I will keep growing Grid Slayer so there's always an excuse to come back for a little splash of turn based action. Here is our roadmap for 2022. Grid Slayer road map: Q1 2022: True final boss fight is added and 1.0 balancing is finalized. Grid Slayer leaves Early Access. Spanish, German, Russian and Chinese translations. More to come in future. Q2 2022: Endless mode: A quick and casual mode that only ends when you lose. Q3 2022: Dark Magic: Necromancy and summoning themed content pack. Q4 2022: Biomancy: Healing and plant themed content pack.
It's the first big update for Grid Slayer, and it is huge. Main features:
- New Insights come with new Enemies, Enchants, Perks and some game changing difficulty modifiers.
- You can now save between battles in a campaign.
- You can now mouse over an enemy to predict their move direction.
- Optimization. The game should run a lot smoother and be less prone to bugs.
- A whole lot of new music from Mike Panayiotis.
- A whole lot of new art from Maly Miller.
If you're on the beta branch and have a save file from before the latest update, your save file may have just broken, or things may fail to load entirely. It's easy to fix: - From the Title Screen, Start a new game. - Toggle an Insight on and off (any Insight). - Quit the game completely. - Restart the game and your save should be fixed. If there are any problems at all with this build, please let me know. As far as I know it's totally bug free.
You can now download and play the beta branch of Grid Slayer. To activate: Right click on Grid Slayer in your Steam Library and select Properties. Then click 'betas' and select the beta testing option. Steam should then immediately start downloading the latest Grid Slayers update. Meet the Mad Alchemist, the Shroom Ninja, updated enemies, smoother optimization, new Card art and some new Insights to change up the game. And undoubtedly a whole bunch of bugs to go with them: you can report them through the "Bugs" topic here on the community. You can also join our Discord! I'll post more details about all the changes when I upload the update to the main build. Until then enjoy the beta version of Grid Slayers with plenty of new content to sink your claws into. The next big update for Grid Slayers is confirmed for December 2021 and we're well on track to finish the game early next year. Stay tuned!
Some more bug fixes. Everything should happen in proper sequence now regardless of how chaotic things are. Please let me know if you find any bugs in this build.
Fixing bugs reported by the community. Also: - The word 'Mod' has been changed to the word 'Enchant'. - The Enchant 'Dash' has been changed to 'Jump' to better describe the action.
Big update. I got some great feedback and advice from the players and having my game out there for people to see has a way of lighting a fire under my bum. So we have a juicy update for you to start the new week.
Quality of Life:
- Mouse Camera control!
- Buttons for End Turn, Skip Draft and to progress dialogue.
- You can now play the entire game without touching your keyboard.
- 21:9 support.
Accessibility:
- New 'Warning' signs no longer just colour coded.
Graphics:
- New 'map loading'! Instead of a boring white wash to transition between scenes, the pieces now fall from the sky one by one.
- Missing Arachnomancy assets replaced.
- Nicer High Peak, Ice Cave and Volcano Tiles.
- Missing Mod assets replaced.
Optimization:
- Fixed some runtime issues people were having on various systems by optimizing the code.
- Fixed issues with obstacles not quite interacting properly if there is a lot going on. Now I welcome you to try Earthquake in the Alchemist's Lab and see how it goes.
- Fixed it so a Counter attack will successfully interrupt an enemy's Dash attack.
- There should be fewer frame skips when everything catches fire at once.
- Quite a few bug fixes.
Balancing:
- Water Soul now requires you to be on a Wet Tile.
- Crown of Silver now starts you with 5 Endurance.
- Crown of Gold now increases the Coin you earn.
- Lots of changes to various cards to make them more balanced.
- Lots of various little fixes here and there.
Next update:
Our artist, my wife, Maly Miller, is hard at work drawing the missing Card art and getting ready for the next batch so we can release some more content.
Meanwhile, I will be balancing the game, taking feedback, and making sure it is as smooth and as polished as can be. So don't be shy with your feedback!
The next big update will be in December. There may be smaller updates and hotfixes between now and then.

Defeat overwhelming odds. The enemy will be numerous and powerful, but not nearly as intelligent as you. Use that against them.
Immersive Simulated Wizardry:
Every elemental interaction is considered. Lightning Stuns and spreads through Water. Water puts out Fire. Fire spreads through Oil. Oil is slippery.
Unique gameplay mechanics:
Each Unit gains Momentum each time they are moved. Use this to your advantage for a completely new tactical experience. Combine elements, knockback and Momentum exploits for extreme synergies.
Make your own Cards:
Every Card can be customized during a campaign using Mods. Mod your Rain spell with Electrified to turn it into a storm cloud. Mod your Fireball with some extra Damage and AOE to make it explosive.
Progress between campaigns:
Unlock Insights between each campaign to customize your run with new Cards, Enemies, Weather Effects, Difficulty Modifiers and more.
