EarthquakeAvenue is an entry for the LOVE 2022 Game Jam. It is an endless jumper (with an end) where you play the part of Eddie Grant's head  (Singer of Electric Avenue) on a spring where you must jump to safety while avoiding a rapidly rising column of magma unleashed by an earthquake.

To Start the game

Press the button on you gamepad or spacebar to begin the game. If you want to reset the game if you have died you may press the "s" key.

Controls
-----------

Use keyboard

a or left arrow
b or right arrow
space to jump

or

Gamepad (left,right and any button x,y,a,b to jump)

Platforms
-----------

Mario style of jumping where you can jump through platforms and are solid on top.

Boosts
------------

When you see a boost you can enter it from the bottom while jumping and it will give you a boost upwards. If you are lucky you can ride several in a row to give yourself a super boost.

Bonus Lines
-------------

Reach these and you will achieve a bonus. Get to the last one and you win.

Obstacles

-------------

As you rise you may encounter some obstacles that slow you down (which is not at all helpful when you are trying to outjump a rising column of magma)
