Hold the left-stick in the direction you want to go and press the A button to split your ship, sweeping out a pleasing shape. Luckily for you the shape is both pleasant to look at and also deadly for your opponent. The other player's ship will be destroyed if it is inside the shape when your ship rejoins and the shape completes.

The game is always two player and is controlled with Xbox controllers. If only only controller is available, it will control both ships.

Xbox controls:

• A button - Start game/Split ship
• Left stick - Move
• Right Trigger - Boost
• Back / Escape - Return to menu and exit game

Linux support: To run the game on linux you must install LÖVE 0.10.2 available from https://love2d.org/ as either an Ubuntu PPA or a deb file. With LÖVE installed, download the spaceships-1.0.love and the same directory run the command "love spaceships-1.0.love".
