Vector Horizon is a 3D action game, taking inspiration from arcade classics such as Williams’ Robotron: 2084 and Atari’s I, Robot. This proof-of-concept demo contains 4 levels of polygonal hazards for you to fight through, along with an original music track by ATH. ( artthehacker.bandcamp.com ) This demo was exhibited at Emily Carr University's 2022 Grad Show in a custom-built arcade cabinet, where it won Best in New Media and Sound Arts. For pictures of the cabinet, see this post: ( artstation.com/artwork/DAB14R )

GAME INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Use the left stick/WASD to move.
  2. Use the right stick/IJKL to fire at enemies and obstacles.
  3. Moving off the edge of a platform will cause you to jump automatically.
  4. Find and touch the green beam to enter the next level.
  5. For high score, collect archives (the spinning discs) by touching them. Each one you collect without dying gives a larger point value.
  6. Extra lives are awarded every 25,000 points.
  7. Use the 1 key or Start to begin a game, and Esc to quit.

This game uses LEAKYFINGERS' Retro 3D Shader Pack, which can be found here:
