How to play

The game has two gameplay options - local and online via the Internet. A local game is played on one device where all the players take turns. There are 3 saving slots available. As for the online game,  one of the players has to create a  new game lobby while others can join in while entering a direct lobby code or choosing a lobby from the list. In addition to that, the game offers a Quick Join option when the game lobby is randomly selected from available ones.
Note: the web version only allows for local gameplay without saving

Gameplay

Players count: 2-5

The game has 70 cards with various landscape features. The starting tile is always the same and is placed on the playing field at the beginning of the game.  Each turn a player draws one random card from the stack and puts it on the map. The new tile must be placed near the others in a way so the features on the edges of it match the features on the edges of the neighboring tiles. So a field continues another field, a road continues another road.

After the tile is placed, the player can place a meeple (seed) on one of the territories to claim it. A seed can only be placed on the same card that the player just placed. A seed cannot be placed on a territory that another player already took.

Once the meeple (seed) is placed on the map as well, the game calculates the scores of the territories that have been completed during this turn. A feature is considered completed based on different criteria.

  • A sunflower field is completed once surrounded by a rock border all around it with no gaps.
  • A road is completed if it either goes in a loop or ends with another element, for example, a field, a windmill, or a yard.
  • A yard is completed when its tile is surrounded by other tiles in all 8 directions.
  • Meadows are not scored during the game but are bounded by other features such as fields and roads.

The game is over once all the cards are placed on the map. The game does one final scoring which includes the unfinished territories.  The player with the highest number of points wins. Players have to balance between completing the territories during the game or saving them till the end.

Scoring

Territory type Completed End Game
Sunflower field 2 per each part + 2 per clover 1 per each part + 1 per  clover
Road 1 per each part
Yard 1 point + 1 per each neighboring tile
Meadow not scored 3 per each completed bordering city

Enjoy!
