Notes about versions

The web browser version works well, but camera movement may be jerky on slower computers and some browsers.

If you experience wacky camera glitches, you might have a better experience if you turn off "Shake and Flash", in the Preferences menu, or if you use the downloaded installable version.

The installable versions should work well, especially if you use the excellent itch.io game installer.

Objective

Solve the murder of your ex-partner.

How to play

With mouse and keyboard, use WASD to move and shoot. Space to dash. F to interact with NPCs and objects. Controllers should work too.

Click the Journal button, or press the J key for more detailed instructions.

Play in your own style, stealth and melee or action shooter. Different styles will reveal different endings.

Game Info

Working Title Noir Game is a very fun action adventure game with interesting characters and richly detailed quests. It was a submission to the GameOff Game Jam, November 2022. The theme of the game jam is "Cliche", so some elements of the game may feel obvious or trope-y.

It's an action adventure game featuring a hard-boiled detective framed for murder. Think Hotline Miami meets Ape-Out, in a bobblehead film-noir setting.

Created in under a month, during exams, by a very small and otherwise very busy team, using the Godot game engine, version 3.51
