You are the captain upon the HMS Soverign, a scout ships tasked with exploring distant solar system and establishing contact with alien races. Completely by accident your ships fell through a wormhole and you have ended up in a aggressive star system.

Trapped in a hostile system you must defend your rocket and crew against endless hoards of angry aliens. Hire mercenaries to help fight the alien hoards, engineers to help repair your forcefields and keep enemies at bay that little bit longer and scientists to help you research powerful new weapons and ship upgrades; all to help you survive to fight one more day.
