This game contains flashing lights, photosensitive players beware!

World view is an endless arcade-like twin-stick shooter, loosely inspired by bullet hell games. Blast away and shoot enemies as your vision slowly expands. But be wary, the battlefield is not what it seems...

This game was made for the UAT Game Design Workshop Jam, March 2023 in 48 hours. The theme of the jam was deception. It won the Most Technical and Best Audio awards.

The diversifiers this game includes are:

  • Space -  The game is set in outer space.
  • Underwater -  The game is set underwater.
  • Four colors - The game is limited to using no more than 4 colors.
  • Retro arcade style - The game's art, audio, and mechanics are evocative of 70's-90's arcade games.
  • Wilhelm - The Wilhelm scream is in your game.

Controls:

Keyboard:

WASD to move.

ESC to pause. 

Move the mouse to aim.

Hold right-click to shoot. 

Controller:

Left stick to move.

Start to pause. 

Right stick to aim.

Hold the Right trigger (Rt, R2, ZR, etc.) to shoot.
