The Last Thought (V0.1.2) (Eng / Esp)

About the Visual Novel:

What if what happens after the death of everything depended just on one person? How can a single thought change something anywhere?

Well, here your thoughts define your relationship with yourself, your interactions with the world, and those who inhabit it. As you experience the story, you acquire learning, and values that will change the way everything that matters happens, allowing you to change things or to let them change you.

  • ≈80k words (For the first part, available in English and Spanish)
  • There are no meaningless choices, no good or bad decisions, everything will be fine... Although maybe not for everyone.
  • SFW (No sexually heavy and nudity stuff, but there are some sensitive themes like death, depression, drugs, mental (fictional) illness, and so on. )
  • The VN genre is something similar to a Slice-of-Life with a bit of (soft) Science Fiction, Romance, and Magic Realism.

About the world:

"In the end, things are as they are regardless of the explanation we put behind them."

Does that mean we can't change anything? Well, that depends on you: The reality is coming back to where it belongs; nothingness. But maybe that is cool... Or maybe you can do something about it.

You follow Numen's life, the bad news; his reflection refuses to be seen by him, still cannot remember his dreams even though he has stopped taking the medications that prevented him from doing so, he studies at an institution that values contacts above all else and he doesn't have any (yay), his father passed away, he doesn´t have a job, and like everyone, he has no idea of what is he doing, if only it was as easy as following a script or letting others make decisions for him.

The good news; he is still alive (for now), just moved to the city to start his university life and apparently, he is not as alone as he thought, oh, and the world seems to speak to him, maybe he has something to say if listened to.

About the Project

I´m a solo dev, and this is my first time programming, publishing,  etc. This is just the first part of the story, so as a baseline, it's a bit linear, the routes have not yet begun to be hugely divided, but some of the decisions that will lead to that in the future are already taken and presented here.

I hope you enjoy this little project, if not, constructive criticism is always welcome. Thanks for connecting! 🍂
