The game is for PCs only. Made with unity. you can either download or play in the browser, it's better to download it.

Can you fend them off? Or will you succumb to the horde?

This is an early version of the game "The Lone Mage", a single-player, third-person wave shooter. The game is only in its early stages and as for now although it's completely functional, playable and (perhaps) enjoyable it lacks overall purpose and models. This is a stand-alone project made by me (referred to in the game as "the one and only").

In the game, you will play as a mage who is trying to fight off waves of approaching enemies. As for now instead of featuring waves, the game is endless. You can still track your progress with the score which is on the top left (my highest is 1580).

Please share your feedback and ideas with me so I can learn and make the game better. My goal is to make this game as good as possible even though I'm still learning.

The game features:

Varying enemy AI - enemies with varying AI that pose a challenging yet manageable gameplay. The AI allows enemies to dodge your projectiles so be careful!

health system for enemies - one is not enough! enemies will require more than one hit to go down.

A score tracker to help you track your progress

Friendly gameplay - a balanced gameplay for both gamers and those who don't play much

Unique enemy spawning mechanism - instead of spawning randomly across the map enemies may spawn close to you so be careful! the purpose is to discourage players from trying to group all the enemies for an easier time. enemies will not be able to spawn on the player but outside a safe radius around the player that ensures the player has enough time to react given that the player is being careful.

Need for speed - the more you slay, the faster they come! As you defeat more enemies they will spawn faster and faster (min = 2 seconds).
