So far the things that work are:

• Message system
• Map generation
• User interface
• Movement controls

The following are things I'd like to add but didn't have time to during this game jam:

• NPCs
• Combat
• Items
• Player progression

As you can probably tell, I didn't get as far on this project as I'd have liked to.  Considering this was my first game jam though I am pretty satisfied with it, and inspired to continue work on it going forward.
