This is a prototype. included is web build, gb ROM, gbstudio source and assets, guide and manual. free download. if you like it, consider donating to cybergrunge.net

the game is a puzzle. try to interact with as much as you can. .. the puzzles are sometimes pretty esoteric.  included in the downloads is a manual and an Official Game Guide as .txt files if you get stuck. For now, the warehouse basement is the last "level" that can be "unlocked".

----- Gameplay Basics -----

Random items spawn in dumpsters each time entering an area.
Some are useless/red herring, some have obscure uses.

Most excess or unused items can be burned in trash fires,
Others have to be thrown away in specific ways.

Hazel is an entity that can help you solve puzzles.
A rose in inventory summons Hazel in certain areas.
Hazel follows player's movements, but can go through some walls.
Hazel can pick up items or interact with things the player cant

From dumpster diving you can get a Plastic Bottle.
This can store 3 items, either to help manage inventory, or,
full bottles with specific items in it may be considered Spell bottles,
used to unlock puzzles.

----- Game Inspiration -----

The game is inspired by glitching, boundary-breaking, mob training,
sequence-breaking, and other forms of "cheating".
What always interested me about cheats in videgoames is how
the actions taken to get certain results often
appear meaningless/absurd if you don't know the cheat.
A lot of the way the human psyche works is like this.
People think, feel and do "illogical" things, but often
these rituals satisfy an unconscious drive. So, video
game code versus in-game mechanics can serve as an apt
metaphor for the unconscious versus the conscious.
