Work In Development

Inspired by Dreamcatcher's Handong's solo song of the same name, Winter (한겨울, 寒冬) is a story about you who came across your highschool sweetheart Elias, way later in life. Driven by nostalgia, you begin to talk to him again, inviting him to your shop. Will you able to rekindle the old love?

This game is created for the Winter Visual Novel Jam 2023.

=======Creator's Note=======

Warning: This is a very rough "game". There's barely any story, art, music and other things that you might find in other VNs. This is my first time ever at making a visual novel; I have never written a code or story, drawn any kind of art, and made music.

After I heard about Pirate Software's speech about making games I decided to make one, since it's been one of my dreams as a child. But I overestimated my skills. So about halfway through the jam, I hit a slump in my creative process and my depression hit me way harder, enough for me to unable to wake up from my bed. But I don't want this to be a mere dream so by submitting this, I at least made a progress. Even though I have a whole month to make this, I still can't manage to finish this project. Maybe I'm not the type of person that capable of doing something within a time limit.

This game will definitely be finished. I envision this game to have a long and enjoyable story with 3 endings: Good, Normal, and Bad, in which all of them have their own unique CGs. I planned on streaming the whole process of developing this on Twitch to both document the progress and push myself to finish it, but with the current equipment that I have that might take a while. Fortunately, I might get a job and with that I can save some money to buy essential equipments.

So, I don't know how this game's fate will go. I hope that I can finish this before 2024 ends. But until then, I have lots of things to do. See you guys next time!
