This is a fan translation of the free game My Raising Diary (Ikusei Nikki) by Water colors -games-.

Available in English, 日本語. The Korean and Traditional Chinese language will be added to the Ren'Py port at a later date.

We recommend using the New Ren'Py version of My Raising Diary (Ikusei Nikki) the most because it runs well on new computers, is multi-platform, and the text size and visual elements are all easier to read. Plus, there's a lot of added new features that weren't originally present. We don't plan to update the old version, unless there's typos, or something. The old KiriKiri version worked well on older computers, but now runs slower, and isn't as stable.

The protagonist who is working there ends up being forced by the other researchers on the same team as her to raise the synthetic life form.

Since she was young, she has been called a genius, and has no memories of being treated like a child, so even though it's a study, the protagonist, who hasn't really known a parent's love, feels uneasy about raising a child...

As we said, we recommend looking at the Ren'Py version, but for those who want to look at the old KiriKiri version for old times' sake, feel free to. Although, there is some...

Things to Note regarding the Old English Version - KiriKiri Engine:

The old KiriKiri version only works in Windows.

In order to properly run the old version, you first need to set your system locale into Japanese.

For Windows 8.1/10: Control Panel -> Clock, Language and Region -> Administrative tab -> Change System Locale -> Select Japanese (Japan) from the drop down -> Click OK -> Restart your computer. – *Note: After changing the locale to Japanese your forward slash (\) may turn into a yen symbol and some installers may be in Japanese. This is normal. Everything else will still display in English. You can easily change it back by following the same steps again.

There's also a Common KiriKiri Engine Error that you may encounter if you exit the game and try to go back on it. The error is: My Raising Diaryはすでに起動しています which just means: My Raising Diary is already running. If you see this error, this is how you fix it on the old version (as it will not launch without doing this): 1. Press and hold CTRL + ALT + DELETE on your keyboard. 2. Open up the Task Manager. 3. Look for "TVP(KIRIKIRI) 2 core / Scripting Platform for Win32" under your Task Manager's processes. 5. Right click on "TVP(KIRIKIRI) 2 core / Scripting Platform for Win32" and click "End task."

Keep in mind that... the most recommended font to use for the old version of this game made in the KiriKiri engine is: MS Pゴシック (MS PGothic).

This is how you change the font in-game:

You can access the Font Selection menu by going to the System Configuration menu. To access the Config menu, click on the “Config” button from the Quick Menu in-game, or by right-clicking to bring up that menu.

*Extra Note:

We don't recommend other fonts as they weren't tested as much with the English version, and the KiriKiri engine needs "manual word-wrapping" for every text line in-game.

Contact Us

If you notice any typos or anything at all, we would appreciate it if you would let us know so that we may update the port.

Please send all typo and bug reports to our email:

futagoproject@gmail.com

Although, please keep in mind that some things that Mirai says isn't a typo as it was done intentionally in both the Japanese and English version of the game. Plus, the ruby tooltips that appear when hovering over certain buttons sometimes jitters (like on the Quick Menu, for example), but it's not a bug, that's how it functions when the position of those buttons change spots.

We hope you enjoy the game! ^^
