Explore a Surreal and Wacky Void word, banish the evil perpetrators, solve puzzles, And (W.I.P).

technically,  Every sound in this game is procedural besides the impact sound.

to achieve that i used: Chunity a very cool code-based synthesizer
and https://www.text2speech.org , https://ttstool.com , and https://discordier.github.io/sam/

controls: QWER and space to play notes, the rest is in the tutorial

made for GDKO 2024 r2: sound cues

WARNING: APPLE BUILD IS UNTESTED AS I AM TOO POOR(and too lib tbh) TO OWN AN APPLE DEVICE

okay, I'm gonna add the full key binds here:

-caps lock changes the view, so the player can look down(good for placing items)

-you cycle the item view  by PRESSING the middle mouse button, if an item is in "not looking directly at it" you can place it on surfaces by pressing LMB

- you pick up items by LMB.

-lamp teaches you the first and only spell

If I'm gonna get to the next round, I'm sure I'm gonna iterate on this project(unless the next theme is gonna be some bullshit like "Love"(pls no), then I'm making a NSFW game with AI and you can't stop me) so here is a todo list:

  • Add more spells
  • Add subtitles
  • Add environmental puzzles, player will need spells to solve them
  • Add a combat system (probably osu-like)
  • add more npc
  • fix the accessibility mode(or make game rely 100% on it since the theme isn't audio cues anymore)
  • rework the tutorial,
  • add more story(duh)
  • add jokes and easter eggs, I regret that I didn't had time to add any in this round
  • add an in-game notepad(grimoire?spellbook?)
  • add more recorded tapes
  • add more locations
  • polish it up
  • add postprocessing
  • add ambient audio
  • add the ability to configure a keyboard
  • add a ton of VFX(that fireball is horrible)
  • publish to Steam and beat palword /s
