X-Squids

The year is 2127 and aliens are attacking Earth's automated mining operations on the Moon!

Use your defense turret to eliminate the alien invaders before they destroy your operations and threaten the lives of the moon settlers!

12-Month Game Dev Challenge

This is my third project from my 12-Month Game Dev Challenge. Using the Panda3D engine, I'm creating 12 original games over the course of 2024! Check it out for more details and for links to other games from the challenge.

Controls:

• Use the mouse to target the aliens! Targeting one directly aims the shot straight for their current position, but watch out! They might evade your shot or move in for attack!
• Use the A and D keys to move the turret left and right to evade the alien's attacked or get a better shot
• Press the "E" key to deploy a shield that temporarily (for 10 seconds) protects your turret from damage. However, your shield can be destroyed as well!
• Use Alt-Enter to enter or exit fullscreen mode
• Press Escape during gameplay to pause or exit
