Into A Starless Sky is a short visual novel dealing with how to find beauty and wonder in a world lacking them as forces from the cosmos try to warp this pursuit. Developed by Pallas Raven. The completed game was developed for NaNoRenO 2024.

Story

Earth is surrounded by a dome that prevents entry or exit and cutting humanity off from the cosmos. It has always been above our heads but it is so perfectly disguised as to be near impossible to see. One day a hole appeared in the dome and humanity leapt at the chance to be free and established their first space station. However, what they found was beyond their expectations. There was no sun nor stars, instead it was just a black void.

To discover the truth of this absence of light, the world sent their best scientists to the space station to investigate. Asteria, a mineralogist, is part of the third wave to accend the space elevator to the station. There is an excitement in the air at the prospects of they could achieve. Having to leave her family and love ones behind to pursue her dream was difficult and yet the opportunity to find out the truth about what is beyond the dome was too great to resist.

But perhaps the dome was not to keep humanity in and instead to keep something else out?
