--------------------------------------------------------------

This is a very early development release of my project currently titled "druid". It's made in Godot 4, and my target platform is the Retroid Pocket 2S.

https://www.goretroid.com/products/retroid-pocket-2s-handheld-retro-gaming-syste...

I'm making this game because I truly enjoy the themes and abilities of Druid Characters in DnD and other fantasy. At the same time I recently got a Retroid Pocket 2S and noticed that there aren't a lot of Android Games that expect a full set of gamepad buttons. On top of that, I literally cannot find any open source games that utilize this. It puts the Retroid Pocket in a spot where you either emulate with it or stream from a console/computer with moonlight. Given the Gray area of emulation, and the difficulty of getting the physical copies and then dumping them to stay in the legal clear... I am now making my own game for the device. It runs android, so in theory it can work with any other android device combined with a bluetooth controller.

Normally, I horde my projects in the dust, never to see the light of day. I don't care as much about the grand release anymore however. Also, I'm experimenting with my psyche; I want to see if having this project be more on display and interactable will invigorate my production.

In most cases, Feedback is almost always appreciated. However in such an early state, it may splinter my focus into too many possible routes. Do not be surprised if it's already considered/planned.
