How to play:
Click on a piece to pick it up, click againto move it. There is currently no AI so you need a friend nearby to play or just play against yourself.

The game plays similar to regular chess, but the pieces have been adapted for moving in one dimension:
• The pawn can move one space forward, but can only attack by moving two spaces forward
• The rook can move any number of spaces forward or backward in a row as long as it is not blocked
• the knight can jump either two or three spaces forward
• The bishop's movement is likely the most complicated; it can move in a straight line just like the rook, but only moving through the even spaces (the spaces of the same color as the one it is on). It is blocked by pieces on spaces it moves through but not other pieces.
• The queen can move as either a rook or a bishop
• The king can move one space forward or backward

note: the game doesn't currently have a check/checkmate system or an AI player.

note: If you run into any issue with the .exe, please try downloading LÖVE from love2d.org and using it to run the .love file. Notably, the .exe file may not work on Windows 10.
