The story of Shadow Core, revolves around a young man named Klaus Schulz. He has just begun attending Statae Academy, an Academy that specializes in maintaining balance in the world. It does so by training students to become powerful combatants who wield the power of an elemental  familiar, also referred to as a Libra. 

As a Libra, your job is to explore the world, tame Disturbances, and grow stronger along side your familiar.
