Drift! Shoot!

That's it… basically… But what else do you need?

Controls:

  • Use mouse to turn,
  • Click to shoot!

As there is currently no tutorial for the game, here is a short explanation for the gameplay:

  • You increase your score by destroying turrets. Shoot them or drift through them for extra style points!
  • Multiplier affect how many points you get for destroying a turret. Earn multiplier by destroying turrets or flying really close to obstacles;
  • Multiplier drops to one if you decide to slow down. This game is all about speed!
  • Turrets come in different colours with unique projectiles. Red are fast, Purple can shoot through obstacles. And there are more for you to find and explore on your own!
  • After 8 turrets a boss appears! Follow the white dot next to your ship to find the boss.

I really wanted to make a game that would scratch that itch. You know the one. The feeling of a perfectly entered turn, or a sniper riffle headshot in a fps game. Of a perfectly executed combo attack. Of one box fitting perfectly into another. You get the idea.

Which is why I spent two days to make DRIFTR. Actually, I've been trying to create a game like driftr for many years, and went through three or four iterations. shoot' em up, card game, strategy. They were fun, but something was lacking. I think DRIFTR is what I was looking for. It has been my favourite game ever since it started to work, and I have been playing in on and off for almost two years.

So I decided to share it, maybe somebody will enjoy it as much as I do.
