Details

This is a prototype about healing  a raid during a boss encounter.
It's pretty basic, you can move your character to avoid some attacks while you try to heal your fellow party members so they can smack the boss to death.

The prototype is so basic there isn't even any sound yet.
There are executables but they haven't been tested really (Mac&Windows untested and Linux tested on Pop!_os only).

Future

If I continue with this one, I would have a few shorts and long terms goals.
Short term

  • Improve the existing (look, controls, some more spells, a better boss, etc.)
  • Allow for bindings changes or the way to input a heal
  • Add sounds
  • Better casting feedback

Long term

  • "Real" raids (as in having named locations with multiple bosses)
  • Loot or any other kind of progression system
  • Build variety (classes, talents, something to customize the gameplay)
  • Add a guild management (build your roster / pick your raiders)
  • More details with the damage and heal meters
  • Mana management for longer fights?

Controls

The game is played with a keyboard and a mouse.
Use WASD or ZQSD (in case of AZERTY keyboard) to move your character around (that blue circle in the "arena").
To cast spells, place your mouse cursor over a name frame and then press the corresponding spell's keybind (i.e. 1, 2, 3 or 4) to cast that spell on that guy.

Each class has different spells, you can see their description by hovering them with your mouse.
