Broken Horizons: Charon is a science-fiction first person shooter and adventure game with role playing elements based on the fictional world of Charon in the Alpha Centauri star system. By the 23rd century, humanity had spread to the stars. Despite their advancement, they failed to learn from their past. The planet of Charon is now in a crisis of environmental collapse, facing the emergence of an ancient threat and a war for survival amongst the divided factions. You play as Commando Rhodes, an operative sent by the Earth United Nations Federation to investigate the situation aided by your AI assistant, Neuro. On your way there, a catastrophic event crashes your ship and brings down all long-range communications, forcing you to investigate up close and personal. You can choose your side or go your own path, but either way the clock is ticking and Charon's days are numbered...and you're stuck there now.
