https://cimeto.itch.io/cube-destroyer Cube_DestroyerCube_Destroyer is a homage to the arcade games of the 80s with retro style looks mixed with synthwave/techno music. The goal is to get the highest score destroying cubes, the fastest you can, aiming at the biggest chunks of cubes of the same colour and thinking in advance to make the better use of bonuses along the board and other game rules you have to be careful of. It comes with four singleplayer modes and seven multiplayer modes. (Multiplayer is discontinued at the moment, see notes below to know why). Singleplayer modes
Multiplayer modes
Duel mode. Both players play with the same board (set of cubes), but independently. So gameplay is very similar to singleplayer mode but you're competing with another player. Shared mode. Both players play on the same board and play on turns. Think in advance to make it harder for your opponent so you can win the match. About development statusWarning: Multiplayer modes are not functional in this version. I started the development as a project for Android devices and to be played in portrait mode and with multiplayer as the main feature in mind. As you can see, this is a conversion for PC and to be used with a mouse instead of a touchscreen, and at the moment, multiplayer features completely broken. The thing is, that I was able to have a working multiplayer back then when I was working on the Android version. I was even in the phase of improving multiplayer and core game elements when the framework I used for the multiplayer aspect got an update that made the game unable to make proper connections between players anymore. And recovering the old version didn't help, I had a services problem. Anyway, the beta is still out there if you are interested... Well!, given the situation I was in, I decided to put the development on hold until a new multiplayer framework update came in. But alas, a few months later, GooglePlayServices anounced that the services I was using for the game were going to be discontinued and that I 'should' move to Firebase. There are even more misfortunes I could talk about related to the state of the project on GooglePlay, but I got tired of them so I decided to try to make a quick conversion of the game so you can enjoy it here, although partially. I considered implementing a classic LAN multiplayer feature for the game while working on the conversion and improve the game mechanics, but because I'm in the middle of a more atractive project at the moment, I prefer to see if players may be interested in improving this game first. A little bit of healthy curiosity. I hope you can enjoy it! Cheers! |
