Restore old paintings using your magnificent fingerpainting skills in VR, on the Oculus Quest or Oculus Quest 2.

Made in 1 day for 12 Days of Sketchmas Game Jam 2020. Day 8 theme prompt: Recover.

Note: Make sure you enable hand tracking first before launching the game!

The only painting available right now is the Ecce Homo (Behold the Man) by Elías García Martínez. It was famous for its poor restoration attempt in 2012 by Cecilia Giménez, a well intentioned untrained amateur. Can you do any better?

Instructions:

• Dip finger/hands in the paint palettes to get it on your fingers/hands.
• Then apply hands to the canvas to paint.
• The longer you hold your finger in the palette or the canvas, the stronger the paint.
• You can mix paint colors by very briefly touching the palette or canvas.

Bonus Tip: To get a more tactile fingerpainting experience, recenter your playspace so that a real wall is where the painting is.
