Hi everyone, I wanted to let know everyone that last two years were very exciting for me and whole Zotrix team. After our first ever Greenlight process with this game and then release on Early Access we learned a lot. Zotrix was shaped along the way and with great help from the community I'm happy what we have achieved. Over the last 10 months we have been pondering on idea should we go on and create additional DLCs or move to the next game and as a result of creative discussion we came up with so many ideas for DLC. Our major issue with these ideas is they are introducing so many new mechanics and types of enemies that we figured out the DLC would look like from some other game and would not do the justice. So, our decision is to go on and make Zotrix 2. The game itself will feature new ships, quite different enemies and accent will be on their AI, rather than coming down in waves over splines. Levels will be much bigger than single screen introducing different dynamic to the gameplay. What is also important to say, each level will be uniquely crafted and there will be no repatition of the same tracks during the game. In-game economy and trading system will be completely overhaulled and simplified with more meaningful impact on the game balancing. The game will keep to the retro look and feel while still bringing performance of modern games. Official announcement of the development is pasted here as it was released via FB and TW last week during Gamescom week, so for all of you who missed that, here it is: Tokyo Metropolis, Taito Ward, August 17th 2016 - Ocean Media announces development of sequel to its well acclaimed retro arcade space shooter Zotrix Theres no better place to announce this exciting news than here from Tokyo, birthplace of many great arcade classics. Zotrix continues to be a great success for Ocean Media and ZeroBit Games since last summers Steam and PS4 releases as it is still recruiting squadrons of new pilots each month. For some time we were toying with various new ideas for Zotrix 2 and finally I can say we have set the course for the sequel in terms of design and game features. Since the game engine is already in place we are expecting first footage from the game by the end of this year. Overall we are aware of the elements where the first game fell short and well make sure to craft the game with lot of attention to those areas. I would like to point out that our community around the game on Steam played a great role in this with its valuable feedback on the game. said Vedran Klanac today in Tokyo, Japan. The game will be developed initially for PC, Mac and Linux platforms. The game will run on cross platform OceanGameEngine so console versions will automatically be available (PS4, Xbox One). Release for desktop versions is expected during Q3 2017, with consoles beginning of Q4 2017. About Ocean Media LLC : Ocean Media is indie game publisher from Zapresic, Croatia. Hi everyone, from time to time we get reports that game crashes on the launch or at some point and usually it's quite tedious to catch the bug without proper information. I'm happy to announce that we have integrated crash reporting system in Zotrix. In general if your game crashes, game will generate 3 files in the same folder where your main executable file is:

Hi Everyone, in today's major update we are bringing following changes to the game:
This update is bringing one new feature to the game and that's Steam Leaderboards. Leaderbaords are added, one for each mission, so now you can compete and see how good you are in each mission comparing to other players. You can access leaderboards from Mission Control screen. You will notice one new button right below Tutorial button at the Mission Control screen. Post mission dialog also got updated and now you are able to see your mission stats, score table for that mission and you are able to choose if you want to replay the mission right away or continue further on. On another note, I wanted to let you know we are carefully collecting your feedback which is coming in recent weeks about balancing issues. Next update will deal with those issues and we will take into account number of your suggestions while addressing the balancing matrix equipment store vs trading vs mission rewards. Thanks again for all the feedback you are sending to us, it is very valuable and helpful. Best Regards, Vedran Klanac creator of Zotrix

In today's update following minor adjustments have been made:
We have just released patch v0.02 for PC, Mac and Linux builds. Major part that we were addressing with this patch is poor end user experience when it comes to configuring your gamepad controller as well as sluggish and not intuitive control of the ship on the arcade level. There is no need anymore for configuration screen because game now auto detects your gamepad controller and its button and axis mappings. Focus was on primarily supporting X360 and compatible controllers. We are aware there might be controllers which might not work. This patch is addressing following issues:
Dear Linux players, I'm happy to announce that Linux version is also as of today released in full capacity as PC and Mac which were released on Friday 24th July. Build also contains patch v0.01 which you can read about in previous announcement. Vedran Klanac creator of Zotrix
We have just released patch v0.01 for PC, Mac and Linux builds. This patch is addressing following issues:
Hi everyone, that day has come. We are leaving Early Access and Zotrix is going to full release. It took us 9 months up to this point. 52 days in Greenlight. 5 months in Early Access and here we are. During last 5 months we got ton of valuable feedback from the community and I'll be honest, this game is now in such shape and form that I didn't expect it to go that way. I mean, it's that good :) You guys got us fantastic ideas how to turn the whole experience into something more. Thank you all for being supportive, reporting issues, helping over email, broadcasting your gameplay on private chat and helping us resolve bugs, sending suggestions, writing reviews.... All that was great experience for me and my whole team and we are trully thankful to such a fantastic community. Game is now set to version 1.0. As of today for PC and Mac and next week also for Linux. Linux version still stands at version v0.07 as we had some last minute issues which we need few more days to iron out. Game is now available in full capacity and it features:
Finally we have the tutorial in the game. Tutorial is primarily focused on part of the game outside the arcade mission. Tutorial is integrated for following sections:
In latest update we have added support for Steam Cloud save files. This feature works for now on Windows only and by end of this week we plan to enable it also for Mac and Linux versions of the game.
We have been busy in the last couple of weeks with integrating new features. The big thing we have for today is full support for the gamepad controllers! With this feature you can now fully enjoy playing the game in Big Picture Mode, where available. Under the Options menu you are now able to switch your controls between:
As promissed in our last announcement, to deliver the Linux version by end of March and here it is. :) Linux version is available as of today. This is important milestone in our plan because now we cover all three major desktop platforms. Since this is our first ever Linux game, we do expect there will be bugs and whichever issues. Please report them and we will do our best to provide proper fixes and solutions. We have tested the game on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS and it did work just fine. Our next step is upgrade of the whole game with quest system and conversion to full release. April is at the door and it will be a busy one for whole ZeroBit Games Team. Thanks everyone for the support, speak to you very soon. Zotrix Development Team
It's been now exactly 1 month since we released the game on Early Access. Our general idea was to get response from community and overall to make a better game. We wanted to figure out in what direction to go with the features or storyline, should we have more story, or less, should we lean towards arcade missions only or adding more juice with other features and things like that. In other words, we wanted to get a sense what is the right mix for this game. Up to this point we have released 6 updates with various fixes and features based on the active feedback from you guys. That’s what we plan to do in the future as well. We have gathered a lot of feedback which came to us via discussion forums, direct emails and most of it on private chat here on Steam. After analyzing all that, we came up with roadmap for full release of this game and what would happen next. Before game converts to full release two more updates are planned, #7 and #8.
*fix - resolved issue where sound effects were silent after last update #5
In today's update following improvements to the game have been made: -add* game determines if your game controller did connect or disconnect during the game and is in sync with your settings in Options -fix* set of issues on resolution switch Zotrix Development Team
In today's update following changes to the game have been made: - integrated Drones, finally :) you can find them in Upgrade store and attach to your ship on "Arm Your Ship" screen - fixed number of issues with initializing screen resolution, however we are aware some issues still exist, if anyone encounters on something strange, please let us know - soft launch for gamepad controller support, featuring limited support at this point (see notes below) - added option to select controller type under options menu - added help screen for gamepad controls along with existing help screen for keyboard and mouse controls - accessed via F1 during game level - added helper calculation of your trading amount above the entry field (so you don't need calculator on a side) - stabilized economy of resources within trading system - fixed bug with boss enemy where you would get over 2 Billion of credits and enter into negative range About gamepad controller support at this point: - gamepad controls are modelled based on X360 controller and are mapped for it - game recognizes gamepad controller which MUST be connected before you start the game - game still doesn't recognize connect/disconnect events -> that is in the works and will come up in one of the following updates - within the game level, pressing Y button on controller or F1 on keyboard will bring up help screen for the controls - there is no customization screen for controls -> we expect to have it ready by the date game goes in full release Zotrix Development Team
