Hail Crusaders, Necromancers & Rangers! This month, the environment and level design for 2 campaign chapters got completed. This means, the campaign is almost 90% done. In next 2 months, campaign content should be completed. Once its complete, the focus will be on endgame content. As you may have known, there will be 2 types of endgame modes. PvE quest where you play solo or with your friends to clear open world, procedurally generated, dungeons. And ultimately, the PvP deathmatch arena where you either dominate other players or get defeated by them. This update contains a link to important poll. The results of this poll will help us decide which endgame mode to focus on more. So please chose the option that you prefer and would want the main focus on for endgame. This month the design for 2 important game levels: Brenwood Forest (PvE levelling zone) and DM-Elysium (PvP Arena) is complete. This includes all the environment, quests, NPCs and gameplay events.
Further to this, the story script is finalized and over 60% voice acting is already done.

In this update I will highlight some progress made in last few days and show how the kickstarter funds are being spent. Then at the end I'll share a big news.
Now lets talk about some progress made in late May and early days of June... Actually lets not talk about it. I'll just show you the progress and you let me know what you think about it. Alright?

In last update you saw a very early design of Brenwood forest. There was only grass foliage. But in recent days, I added ferns, rocks, tree branches, flowers, trees and waterfalls.
Now lets see some new skills added to the game. (Overall 6 skills were added in last few days but I decided to show 2 only... because other 4 skills are mainly passive and dont have much visual appeal. Also if I show you all the game already then who will test it for me? So to find out these 4 skills you have to answer my call, when I ask you to test the game.)

Other than that, visual affects were also added for game's dash. It triggers once player presses spacebar
Now lets talk about how kickstarter funds were spent in late may and early June. During this time period I hired 2 artists and bought/used stock assets from Unreal Marketplace.
The 3 character icons are being made by an artist who has so far charged 50.5
While the phoenix model/vfx shown for skill was brought from marketplace for 24.12.
The rest of assets/game features were either payed by me personally or they were free assets available on Unreal Marketplace.
Total spending so far of kickstarter money is 74.62. And with this small amount we made quite lots of progress.
6 skills, and props/settings for a key environment mostly done in just about 15 days. If development progress keeps progressing at this rate then there should be a playable demo coming soon.
And finally its time for big announcement!
We have decided to raise further funding through patreon. Even as little as 3 helps a lot! As you can see, with only about 75, we made quite a lot of progress in just 15 days.

WOW! The kickstarter campaign of Edrick's Conquest is over 200% funded thanks to 121 lovely backers.
You guys are amazing! Lots of pledges are shown to me as being successfully processed but unfortunately some are still pending.
Please check your emails because if your pledge hasn't processed successfully and you fail to fix it then you will miss the rewards.
Pledge could be pending/errored because your bank may have put a hold or rejected the transaction, and you'll need to call your bank to let them know it's a real transaction. Or your payment card could have expired so you may need to update it,
Furthermore, in this update I will present some progress made on game in recent weeks. But please bear in mind that most focus for this time was on promoting kickstarter/steam so the progress for this month may not seem sufficient.
In this month, work was done on the grass variation for Brenwood Forest and the following props (which affect gameplay) were designed: Gold Key, Ruby Key, Sapphire Key and Navigation Arrow.
The keys may be used to access secret areas, unlock chests or trigger other gameplay events. Each of these 3 keys will only work on their respective target for example a golden treasure chest will only be openable though a Gold Key.
Another experimental feature is the navigation arrow. This will guide the player where to go, similar to the automap in diablo. But again this arrow is an experimental feature, if community prefers to use an automap like in Diablo, I will consider replacing this feature.
Once again this campaign has been very successful and thanks everyone. Now there is an agreement between us.
To uphold this "Creator Agreement" I will update you every month on progress of Edrick's Conquest and reply to all your questions/concerns within 24 hours. If for some unexpected event or any valid reason I am unable to post monthly updates or reply to your comments in 24 hours time then I will inform you beforehand if possible.

Hello Crusaders, Necromancers & Rangers, The progress of Kickstarter campaign so far highlights that it will wont get funded unless a miracle occurs. As said before, Kickstarter failing to fund will only cause some budgeting issues so I will cut features from the game and make it more simple. But game will still be made. Now my plan is to make a good demo and after that do a patreon. Or Steam early access. Fortunately, most of the work to make the demo is done. It will be available soon. Its been a very long time since the last update, mainly because video game development is challenging & time consuming. But we, Power Games, are passionate about this project and have met a lot of major milestones recently.
However, sorry for the lack of updates recently. We posted some minor updates on our email newsletter, Twitter and Facebook but forgot about the Steam Announcement section of Edrick's Conquest.
In this update we will answer some frequenty asked questions... If you want to ask a question that is not answered here then feel free to ask it by posting a comment here.
What will the monetisation model be?
Edrick's Conquest will be a premium (buy to play) game with no in-game purchases, no NFTs and no pay 2 win mechanics.
Do I always need to be online to play the game?
No, you will be able to play the game offline. From main menu you will have the option to chose from offline singleplayer, online multiplayer & local area network modes.
How many languages will you support?
This will be determined by the success of Kickstarter. We want to support many languages as we can as long as it doesnt come with sacrificing quality.
What game engine does Edrick's Conquest run on?
Unreal Engine 4.27
When is the release?
Estimated release date is April 2025 but its not guaranteed. Its not possible to give a guaranteed date since game development is tricky and unpredictable. Sorry, we don't have the ability to foresee future.
Will there be controller support?
Yes.
What platforms will you support?
The main platforms are PC Windows & Linux. PlayStation and Xbox are stretch goals of Kickstarter. But a special android version will be made for some Kickstarter backers.

Hello everyone!
You may be wondering why the Kickstarter campaign of Edrick's Conquest hasn't launched yet.
Unfortunately, it is extremely challenging to launch a successful Kickstarter campaign mainly because of the pre-launch promotion. A lot of successful projects on Kickstarter build a community before launch. It is recommended by crowdfunding agencies to have at least 1,000 followers on the pre-launch page; this allows Kickstarter's algorithms to recommend these projects to potential backers. While projects that fail to drive significant traffic on day 1 of launch are extremely likely to be ignored by Kickstarter's algorithm.
Edrick's Conquest currently has 198 followers on the pre-launch page. 802 more followers are required to reach the 1,000 mark.

A playable demo is 95% complete. This demo will highlight the influences of great games on Edrick's Conquest. I am mixing the action of Diablo, beautiful environments of Skyrim, pleasure of Gauntlet & charm of Nox to develop a game that will provide hours of entertainment.
