Hello, pilots. Here's why stratO will not be participating in the upcoming Steam Sale: Because it would be a slap in the face for everyone who bought my game at full price on launch day. I hate when I buy a game and then immediately afterwards it goes on sale and it makes me feel like an idiot. I would never want to do the same to my customers. Sure, I could make a little quick buck, but this is my first commercial release and this would sow a lot of badwill. I'm not in this for the money in the sense that I want to ride around in expensive cars and go on luxurious vacations. I *would* like to have enough money to make this game even better, and to make even better games. I don't just want your business -- -- I want your REPEAT business Thank you for supporting me, buying my games, playing my games and sharing them. - Mark

There was a miscommunication on my part due to my misinterpretation of Valve's instructions. THE RELEASE TIME HAD TO BE MOVED FORWARD TO 09:00 PDT I was all ready for the game to come out on midnight because I didn't want to keep you guys waiting for the game any longer than necessary but a fellow steamer helpfully notified me that nobody would be around at Valve's offices at midnight to approve the release! In any case, I'll be on stream anyways, though maybe a little bit haggard when the game actually comes out. Keep calm, come to the stream and yell at me! Meanwhile I'm hacking together a little quick start control card while I wait for the release! http://twitch.tv/moatdd

I really really want to hear what people have to say about the game. I should also give you guys some adequate warning: I placed the highest priority on tuning the game, debugging it, testing it and making the music and sound and making the UI and on and on and on... ... but tutorials and manuals are something I had to leave for later. I'll throw together a tutorial video to explain the controls over the weekend - there's a lot of mechanics tightly woven into the game that aren't apparent at first glance and I can go on and on about it for hours which is why it's so hard to make a good tutorial for the game that isn't humongous.

Just finished implementing achievements and local friends' leaderboards. It's at a stable point where any stuff I add would be done in updates. I plan to step up the launch date to Monday June 1st, 2015 instead of August 5th, 2015 so I can be around all week to deal with any technical issues that arise during launch. This is my first commercial release and everything that happens afterwards is going to hinge upon the success of stratO. I greatly appreciate people spreading the word about stratO and especially those who've hung around to see it develop and offer emotional support and advice. Special thanks go to mom, who practically bankrolled all of my crazy dreams.

🎮 Full Controller Support
stratO is a demanding game that requires a lot of dedication and determination but rewards you with the ability to make a friction-fueled rocket-glider pull off stunts that surpass anything you've seen in a movie. But forget everything you know about other flight sims and flying games. IT CAN'T HELP YOU HERE!
Key Features
- Rather than telling your plane to go up/down/left/right, you control INDIVIDUAL air deflectors, and the sum of their generated torque is the result.
- This means that although the controls are harder to learn, a master pilot can pull off very tight aerobatic stunts and emergency recovery manoeuvres.
- Procedurally-generated world that gets more difficult as you collect more rings.
- Interwoven and deep game mechanics -- slide to boost, boost through rings or slide during a boost to refuel, tuck to magnetize wings and slide easier and double engine thrust and decrease drag, and that's just the start!
- Tight controls are simple to learn, but challenging to master. Being good at stratO is something to be _proud_ of.
- PC Version supports keyboard controls, XBOX Controllers (with vibration) and generic gamepads/flight sticks
- All controls are remappable (including menu & interface navigation)
Other Features
- Flightstick users can press+hold on the main control menu button(The one with the star on it for 3 sec) to toggle the game to pitch/yaw/roll controls
- Alternate colour scheme for airplane & orientation indicators for players with Deuteranopia
