Hi everyone!
It's time to share our latest progress update. As usual, youll find the chart below.
As you can see, the scripts and written content for the game are now fully completed. For some time now, our writers have been working on future scenes to avoid unnecessary delays later on. The most time-consuming tasks remain rendering and animation, due to our current production capacity. We're actively looking for more skilled artists, but finding experienced professionals is a challenge. Lowering our quality standards is the last thing we want to do. We're also integrating the source code and testing everything so that only minor fixes will remain at the end.
Were nearing the milestone of 2,000 renders, and we estimate the final count will be around 2,5003,000. Thats a huge number, especially given how little time has passed since the last update. On top of that, this update will feature A LOT of animations. Besides the main scenes, were also planning to add a few extra features if time and resources allow.
Additionally, weve started working on translations for all the content currently in the game, so everything will be available simultaneously. On a side note, were happy to announce that a Polish translation will likely (95% certainty) be included as well, since many of you have requested it. We hope youll enjoy it!
Now for the most exciting newsthe one youve probably been waiting for: Update 4.0 will launch on Monday, December 16th. Supporters in the +Lovers tier on Patreon will get early access on Friday, December 13th. That means were less than 30 days away from your holiday gift!
Thats all for now. Were leaving you with a few renders and wish you a peaceful week ahead.
Hey everyone!
First, a few words about the recent feedback I got from you. Besides the recurring comments like:
- we waited too long for such a short update,
- not enough sex scenes,
...the overall feedback of the last update was mostly positive, which makes me really happy. Of course, there are always things that need improvement, and we'll keep fixing them as we go.
To answer a few other questions: this will be a bit bigger update than usual, definitely more comprehensive, and it will address some of the questions you've had. As we originally planned, we aim to release the full game in the first half of 2026, and that hasn't changed. We'll probably wrap up Riley's story by episode 7 or 8, depending on how many extra scenes and content we decide to add.
Time for an update on our progress two weeks after the last release. Im happy to say things are going really well. Thanks to taking unpaid leave, I can fully focus on the project, and because of that, were moving faster and more efficiently.
As you can see, weve nearly finished writing the scripts for the latest episode. I think well have that part wrapped up in the next 7 days. We've also completed 30% of the required renders and animations, which is a number Im pretty happy with for just two weeks of work.
As for coding and testing, weve fixed all the reported bugs in Episode 3.2, so everything should run smoothly now.
As you can see, everything is going according to plan. We're still confident that well be able to release the next episode before the Xmass. Its going to be one of the bigger ones, but not too long - it will contain plenty of branching paths and answers to some of your burning questions. I wont spoil anything elseyoull have to wait until December!
As always, Im leaving you with a few renders, and I wish you all a great week!
Hey everyone!
Now, I'd like to talk about something important to usthe second project we've been working on alongside Steps of Debauchery. First, let me assure you that Riley and Steps of Debauchery are still our main focus, and no other project will affect the development speed of the game. If we've chosen to support or join another project, it's only because we've been able to hire more people or work on it in parallel.
As some of you already know, the project I'm talking about is the game Bright Lord, developed by KissKiss Studio. Its had its ups and downs, so we decided to help bring it to completion, ensuring it doesnt get abandoned like so many other adult visual novels. Our support included proofreading the entire script, improving and compressing the games code, creating a completely new UX/UI, and translating the game into 7 languages. The story and graphics are still being handled by KissKiss Studio, so this hasnt affected our work on Steps of Debauchery.
Youll be able to see the results of our work soon, as Bright Lord will be released on Steam on November 8th, with all the new features we've added. I encourage you to add it to your wishlist now!
I decided to support this project because I liked the game and its story, and Im confident youll enjoy it too. This version will include about 75% of the full game, and the final release is planned for 2025. Were aiming to add six more chapters before the games conclusion. Here are a few renders from the game, and well see you in less than a month!
* Fixed achievement not unlocking on steam. * Fixed a crash when playing in Portuguese language. * Some people were not able to unlock new scenes on loading previous game saves. That has been fixed. One of the drawback of that fix is that player can't rollback immediately after loading a save file made in previous version of the game. Aside from that, rollbacks works in all situation as expected.
The fresh new episode 3.2 is now available and within your reach!
As always, I want to thank you all for your support. I hope I've expressed my gratitude through the latest update. Have fun and don't forget to share your feedback!
I would like to encourage you to leave feedback, whether you liked the game or not, we are curious what you think of it so that we can improve it in the future
If you are curious about the changes that have been made, you can find them all in the link below.
Episode 3.2 - Change Log
Hey everyone!
Is it time for the latest update's change log? Yes, it is! Let me share a little secret about what you can expect in this new update.
You'll be getting 7 new scenes6 of them will be story-related, while one is an extra scene connected to gym activities and our favorite trainer. Theres also a new achievement tied to that!
As for the main story scenes, Riley might finally have some time to visit Ivy outside of work hours. Meanwhile, Riley will learn more about her new role as Dean assistant (if you chose that path), and Madison will want to thank you for helping with the party (unless you didnt help her). Youll also meet with your neighbors, Elijah and Richard, and Riley will try to hide something from Mike. Will you reveal the truth to him this time, or keep it to yourself? The choice is yours!
Weve also fixed earlier bugs, including the issue with duplicate outfits in the backpack and missing sounds in the animations from update 3.1. There are a bunch of smaller fixes too, but I wont bore you with all the details.
Thats all for now, the new update will be out on October 7th,
In the meantime, take care and may Riley be with you!
Hey everyone!
As some of you from Discord might know, I havent been able to work for the last 10 days because of a flood that hit my country. Luckily, I didnt suffer any major damagejust a few things to replace, lots of cleaning and drying out, but thankfully, my family is safe. Today were finally getting back to normal, with electricity and water restored (though its only cold water for now, but its progress!). We've cleaned up the rest, so I can finally start focusing on the game again. I also want to thank you all for your supportit really helped me stay calm and handle everything, so thank you!
As for the update, unfortunately, I have to delay it a bit for the first time instead of the end of the month, well release it at the start of October. New update will be released:
Steps of Debauchery - Episode 3.2 - 7th October
Aside from that, everything is going according to plan. Even though its a small update, I think itll still be worth checking out. We've also improved some models and graphics, but youll only notice that in the next 4.0 episode. The delay wont affect the 4.0 update, which is still set to release in Decemberand trust me, itll be worth it.
Ive been wondering why it now takes me 1.5-2 months to make a small update, when I used to be able to do it in just one month. The answer is pretty simple translations take a lot of time, and the animations are much more time-consuming (but they also look way better) compared to the early days. We still keep the same number of quests in each small update, around 7, but before, the scenes were much smaller each had 70-100 renders, and now each scene has over 100, with some having more than 200.
Not that it really matters, just a thought I had.
Thats all for now! The change log will be out closer to the release. As usual, Im leaving a few teasers for you, this time SFW (mostly)!
Hey there!
A new month has begun, and I can't believe it's already been three weeks since the last update. Time flies! I've been hard at work, and I'm excited to share what I've been up to with you. Let's start with the usual progress chart below.
As you can see, the script writing is fully complete. The graphics are also coming along nicelywe've already created half of the required scenes (and even one for the 4.0 update!). Thanks to the unpaid leave I mentioned before, things have been running more smoothly, and it's easier for me to keep an eye on everything. I expect we'll finish the remaining scenes in about three weeks. As for coding and testing, we're still in the early stages since my team handling that is currently on a well-deserved vacation. Theyll be back soon, hopefully recharged, because theyll be diving straight into work!
Just a reminder about update 3.2it's going to be a SMALL UPDATE, so if you're not into short content, you might want to wait for update 4.0. We plan to release episode 3.2 at the end of September, and if everything goes according to plan, episode 4.0 will be out before Christmas.
Thats all for now! Below, Ive shared some graphics from the new update. Take care, everyone!
* Fixed a rare crash which stopped game progression. * Fixed a regression where buying Party Dress will deduce twice the money * Fixed the bug which caused a scene to be played twice. * Fixed the bug which caused one fast version of animation to not play.
The fresh new episode 3.1 is now available and within your reach!
Guess who's the best? You are! Since the start of this year, my life has completely turned around, and it's all thanks to you. I'm endlessly grateful for all your support, and I hope that with the next update, I can give back to you, even if just a little!
Have fun and don't forget to share your feedback!
Change log:
First, I'd like to remind you that this is a small update we've been working on for the past six weeks. If you prefer larger updates, you might want to wait for episode 3.2 or even 4.0!
So, what can you expect in the new update?
You'll get 7 new scenes, including 5 related to the main storyline. One bonus scene can be watched on the TV if you buy it in the in-game store, and another bonus scene has a small chance to trigger in the park with a known flasher.
We've focused on giving you more choices in the game, so you have more freedom to act. We've also ensured that dialogues and choices impact the storysome will change current or future dialogues, while others will affect entire scenes.
In total, we've added around 12,000 words of script, about 1,050 renders, and 13 new high-resolution animations. Two new achievements have been added, the school bathroom scene has progressed, and you can reach a new level in the pole dance scene at the bar.
As for the main scenes, we've focused on the story aspect (but there will also be some hotter scenes). Riley will try to get more information from Wyatt. She will also help Blaze at school, and he will invite her to new activities. We will clear up Riley's doubts about streaming with Elijah and meet Ivy at the boutique. The highlight will be the scene with Madison, which most of you have been waiting for. (two scenes are only available for active blackmail route)
Have fun and don't forget to share your feedback!
Hi everyone!
It's been a while since I shared any updates, so it's time for some news. I've mentioned many of these things on Discord and social media, but I'll recap everything here.
First, on a personal note, I've decided to take unpaid leave until the end of the year to focus on the game project and to get some rest and attend to my personal life. Thanks to your support (both through game purchases and monthly donations), I can start considering leaving my second job at the Fire Department and working less. I'm incredibly grateful to all of you for this, but it doesn't mean I'll be slacking off. This break will allow me to rest a bit and spend more time with my family and most importantly, focus on game creation.
As for the new update - Episode 3.1 is almost ready, with just the animations left to finish. I hope everything goes smoothly so we can complete them within a week. This update is half the size of update 3.0, but it only took us just over a month to complete, which I think is great. What can you expect in this update? I'll share the details in the change log next week.
We plan to release the new update on August 10th, which is about a week away.
Reminder: This is a small update. If you don't like smaller updates, feel free to skip this one and wait for the next release
I hope there won't be any delays due to the animations, but we should be able to meet the deadline. After the update, I'll need about three weeks to handle some work-related tasks before fully starting my leave until the end of the year.
That's all for now. Here are a few renders for you. Episode 3.1 is just about a week away!
Hey everyone!
I have a lot to share with you today, but let's start with a summary of the latest update and some of my notes. I've already shared these on Discord, but I'll summarize them here too.
The days after releasing a new update are always the toughest for me mentally. I spend them combing through every forum reading players feedback. This includes everything from trolls and long-time critics to supportive fans. Im also on the lookout for bugs reported by players so we can fix them promptly.
Bugs and Issues
We've fixed all the reported bugs. One critical bug related to the iSpy app was preventing further progress in some cases. There were also minor issues with minigames, Discord on Mac, and a missing scene in the replay gallery. These have all been fixed. We've also made the dance minigame a bit easier and were ready to fix any new bugs immediately.
Feedback on Update Length
I've addressed this many times, but heres my previous information about the developing job (I wrote it some time ago, so that's copy-paste):
...my job as a firefighter sometimes allows me extra time off, which I dedicate to game development. Over the past three months (aside from my vacation), Ive been working 12-16 hours daily to create what weve released. Despite this, some still find the update short. I might need to slow down and give myself more mental freedom because no matter how hard I work, people will always complain about the update being too short. (edit. we are actively looking for additional Daz3D artists, but we rather want to improve the quality of the renders, so finding the right person(s) is very hard and we have not succeeded so far).
Content and Story Feedback
I agree that we could have added more sexual content to the yacht scene, but I didn't think it was appropriate and really needed. We don't want to add empty sex scenes just for the sake of it. This update was not shallow in my opinion, as it containted three other sex scenes. I'm sure we'll soon get to the point where everyone will see what they're waiting for, but scenes in which sexual acts don't occur also affect the main character's mental attitude. You may disagree with this, but it does not change my approach to the storyline we are creating. Its important to remember that an Adult Visual Novel combines both - "Adult" content, but also "Novel" aspect. If someone is here only for the adult content and ignores the novel aspect, they might be disappointedthats not our aim (yes, I'm aware we are creating porn game ) Regarding complaints about the D&D, Elijah or any other plotlines: it's impossible to please everyone. Some enjoy these storylines, others dont. Making them optional would undermine the main narrative. Every plot point, including D&D, has an impact on the main character, if not now, then in future updates. We don't add random storylines; everything has a purpose. We also can't feature every character in every update. Episode 2.2 focused on Elijah and Richard; 3.0 focused on other things; episode 3.1 will be about something else. Were doing our best to release content quickly and on time. If you found this update small, you might want to wait for 4.0 and skip previous two small updates till then. Lastly, regarding the bar minigame: its optional and doesnt affect the main story, but we already made it easier for everyone. It will have its development in episode 3.1 but will remain non-essential to the main plot. That would be it. I take every feedback to heart, we have our idea for the game, but we also take your opinion into consideration. However, we will not add a sex scene with Riley, just because we feel such pressure on our backs. I am always available to you and I write back to every message, however, if you need help with the game or you have encountered an error - share it on discord so that it is easier to solve them. If you would like to add something, feel free to comment and share your thoughts.
That will be it about Episode 3.0, so let's move to development of Episode 3.1 and some notes!
Progress on Episode 3.1 is going smoothly. As you can see in the image below, our scripts and writing are almost done. We've also completed about 40% of the graphics and renders, and started adding new scenes and content directly to the game. We're planning to add six main scenes, one extra scene, and more activities related to the park, school, and the bar minigame.
Episode 3.1 will be a small update. We're sticking to our plan of releasing two small updates (x.1 and x.2) followed by a bigger one (0.x). If you don't like small updates, please wait for the next one or even Episode 4.0. Respect our work and refrain from comments like "too short." We're doing our best to release updates regularly and spend all our free time creating the game. The new update will be out in mid-August. (Who would I be if I didn't share a few new renders?) Take care and see you soon!
* A hard crash that happened while playing in German language has been fixed. * Some game assets have been compressed so that the game takes less space.
* Fix a crash where the game will refuse to start if the save name contains a single `[`. * Fix a rare (but persistent) crash related to Discord which prevented the game from starting.
* Now the pole minigame only requires using the arrow keys and the duration to click has been increased slightly. * Now the phone can be exited when clicked outside when hone is on main screen. * A rare crash while replaying one university scene has been fixed. * In rare cases, school test will only have four questions. That's been fixed.
* Don't allow people to screenshot even while EXP counting during the pole dance minigame. * Add the school replay scene in gallery. * Don't allow people to exit exhibition event early. For players who have already played this event before, please play this again and this time it should handle things well and you will be able to advance in the story. You can start by going to the laptop, clicking on iSpy and then reveal. Might be fixed (need more testing) * Startup crash on Mac. (If you are still experiencing this crash on the latest update, either delete the .DISCORD_ON file or rename it).
The fresh new episode 3.0 is now available and within your reach! As always, I want to thank you for your support, because without you, this wouldn't be possible. Have fun and don't forget to share your feedback!
If you are curious about the changes that have been made, you can find them all in the link below.
Episode 3.0 - Change Log
We are sticking to our plan for future episodes - next will be 3.1 and 3.2, which will be smaller, and then episode 4.0. We have already started working on the next one, which is planned for August, but we will announce the exact date in July. Without further ado, enjoy, and we are going back to work on the next scenes. Thanks again for your support!
Hey everyone!
Only 7 days left until the release of the new update for Steps of Debauchery Episode 3.0! Its going to be a busy week with lots to do, but Im committed to getting everything ready on time, as usual. We've made some story changes and moved a few scenes to the next update (3.1) to keep the story flowing smoothly. This update will be more than twice as big as the last one, and here's what to expect:
As you can see in the graphic above, weve added 9 new scenes. I won't spoil too much, but one of them is really detailed with over 700 new renders. Weve also focused on improving the interface and making the game more enjoyable, so its not just a clickfest. Most scenes happen in new locations and feature bonus characters, which took a lot of extra time, but we hope its worth it. As always, we've added some new achievements and collectibles. Weve also picked up on storylines that were a bit neglected recently, and in episode 3.1, well focus on the rest. Our animations have greatly improved and will definitely catch your eye.
Thats about it for now. I'll leave you with a few new renders.
Please leave your honest feedback Steam Page; were close to hitting 100 reviews this month, so your help is much appreciated!
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2649970/Steps_of_Debauchery/
The update will be available on June 25 in the evening CET.
Hey everyone!
Today, we have two announcements, and one is a bit different than usual. We want to introduce you to another project we're involved in as a publisher - helping to improve its readability and clarity.
The game is called Bright Lord, created by KissKiss Studio. It started a few years ago and faced many challenges, but things are looking up now that we've decided to support the developer with new opportunities and assistance.
I want to assure you that our involvement with this project won't affect or delay the development of Steps of Debauchery, which remains our main focus and priority. Riley is still our little baby <3
As for Bright Lord, it will finally be released on Steam after being improved, re-edited, and translated into six additional languages, with a planned release in September. The game has a dark atmosphere that I personally liked from the beginning. I won't spoil the story for you, but you can read the description on the store page, check the screenshots and watch the trailer. If you're interested, please add the game to your wishlist, as it will help us a lot!
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2906370/Bright_Lord/
Why did we decide to take on this project? I believe many adult visual novels have great potential but often lack the funds or helping hands to reach their full potential, leading to unfinished or abandoned games. Bright Lord was at risk of this fate, but now things are on the right track. Below, you'll find a few renders from the game to spark your interest, and I encourage you to add it to your wishlist.
The second announcement is about Steps of Debauchery. Only 15 days left until the new 3.0 update. I hope you're as excited as I am! We still have a lot of work to do; we've set a big plan and we're doing everything we can to finish it on time. Here's a little secret: one of the scenes will be as big as the entire 2.2 update.
Creating a whole new environment and side characters (more like NPCs/background than main characters) took a lot of time, which is why this update is coming out now instead of earlier in the month as we initially planned. We hope these extra features will be worth the wait and that you'll enjoy them.
While were finishing the last scenes and coding everything, our writer is already working on the next update 3.1, to ensure a smooth transition. Next week, we'll release a detailed change log with all the new features and changes coming in update 3.0.
If you havent already, please leave a review and your honest opinion about the game - it means a lot for us! We've also opened a Discord for people who bought the game. You can find more info on the #how-to-chat channel on Discord:
Discord: https://discord.gg/stepsofdebauchery
That's all for now, talk to you soon! As always, I leave you with small preview.
Hey everyone!
The day you've all been waiting for is finally here (well, not the release day, but close) - today I'll give you an update on our progress, idea of what you can expect in the new update, and when it's coming out.
Let's start from the beginning - the writing for Episode 3.0 is done, all scripts are ready, and the writer has already started on Update 3.1. We use his creativity as much as we can, and he keeps delivering great stuff. Creating scenes and renders takes the most time - I spent a lot of time looking for the right people to help, but no luck so far. I hope we'll hire someone soon to speed up future updates. Coding and testing come last - we're slowly adding new things but will focus on this in early June.
Now, a bit about the plot in episode 3.0 - Riley will begin her journey as Dean Scott's assistant (unless you opted out of that storyline). We'll discover Blaze's hidden hobby, which might become ours too. It's also time to thank Madison for her help during the bachelor party. There will be two D&D scenes (I know not everyone likes this, but I think you'll enjoy these). Our secret donor on Spy App will get in touch again. There will also be a bar scene and the biggest scene we've made so far, which will be a surprise. Plus, we're adding a gym scene and a new mini-game job at the bar. You'll also be able to buy new stuff for your apartment and test it in a bonus scene. We're aiming to add Italian and Polish translations too. Our animations are now much better, and I'm sure you'll love them.
This update will be almost twice the size of 2.2 - I hope we can hire new DAZ3D artists to make updates faster. And now, the news you've been waiting for - the official release date for Episode 3.0 is June 25th. I'll try my best to let the highest tiers play a few days earlier, but no promises. As I said, no breaks for us, we're starting on Episode 3.1 right after this update, aiming for an early August release.
That's all for now, I hope you will enjoy new update. Back to work for me, have a great week!
PS. There's also a new trailer for Steps of Debauchery. You can check it out on Store Page!
Hello everyone on this rainy (at least here) Sunday!
Today, I'd like to give you a brief update on the progress of Episode 3.0. So, this month we should finish working on the scripts for it; currently, as you can see, we're at around 70%, but things are heading in the right direction, and we should wrap up this stage within ~10 days. As for creating renders and animations, we're currently at about 40%. By the end of the month, we should also have about half of the planned update ready, which is the pace I anticipated at the beginning. We're also starting to slowly code and test new features, as well as gradually sending additional game segments to our translators.
But what can you expect in the new update?
We plan to add 12-13 scenes - 8 main ones (including a summarizing scene, which will be quite large, about 3-4 standard scenes long), while the rest will be optional, unrelated to the main storyline, like a new scene at the gym, etc.
Regarding the main scenes - you'll be able to immerse yourselves in the world of D&D, where you'll meet two new characters and explore the entire created world. There's a chance for a new challenge in the iSpy application. If you haven't given up on the storyline with the Dean, you might embark on an adventure as his assistant. It's been a while since we had a chance to talk with Blaze, and the bullies at school have been more noticeable lately. Remember we promised something to Madison - there's a chance we'll finally be able to pay off our debt. And the cherry on top will be the scene at the bar with Wesley and Jay, perhaps with additional activity there, and above all, a scene summing up the entire episode... about which I won't reveal anything. That's about it; there will be a few new items to buy, a few new achievements, a few activities in the sandbox, so there's a lot of work put in and a lot still ahead of us.
Finally, I'm sharing a few new previews.
As usual, I wish you all a peaceful week and talk to you soon!
Some players were experiencing hard crashes. It was because those players had used unauthorised builds of the game (in the past) which set up some internal variables in the wrong way, causing the game to crash on launch.
Fix a hard crash when playing in the Spanish language near the game end.
Hello folks!
It's been over 2 weeks since update 2.2, so it's time for a brief summary of our progress so far regarding the next episode 3.0.
As you can see from the graphic above, we're moving forward, albeit at a slightly slower pace than usual for two reasons. Firstly, the Easter holidays halted our work completely, and secondly, time was dedicated to hiring new 3D artists. This may sound counterintuitive as they should speed up the process, and they will, but initially, we need to invest some time in finding the right people, signing contracts, and guiding them a bit to ensure the renders they produce align with the SoD style. However, I'm confident that we'll soon ramp up our pace significantly with their help, enabling us to release bigger/faster updates.
Regarding update 3.0 itself, we're not announcing an official release date yet. It's going to be bigger update - aiming for around 2000 new renders, plenty of animations, at least 13 new scenes, and additional activities around the sandbox. We're planning to release it around the end of May or beginning of June, but we don't want to make any promises as everything depends on how our work with the new artists progresses.
Of course, the initial scenes and animations are already complete. We've created entirely new characters for the D&D storyline, as well as new locations. Below, I'm sharing a few renders with you, hoping you'll like them. Apart from all the work around Step of Debauchery, we're also striving to introduce additional in-game mechanics to make the gameplay more engaging. I don't want to reveal too many secrets just yet, but you'll soon learn more. Meanwhile, I wish you all a peaceful week and talk to you soon.
Resolve messages not appearing after some scenes
* Fixed a hard crash when playing in the German language. * Fixed a hard crash when opening the Boutique shop in the Portuguese Language. * Fixed two typos. * Updated base engine (Ren'Py).
The fresh new episode 2.2 is now available and within your reach! As always, I want to thank you for your support, because without you, this wouldn't be possible. I would say it's time for a break, but we've already begun working on the new update - Episode 3.0 will likely be out in 2-3 months, and it's going to be a big one, but I won't spoil too much just yet. In the meantime, feel free to check out episode 2.2 and share your thoughts and leave reviews! Have fun! You can find the change log here: https://steamcommunity.com/games/2649970/announcements/detail/4142820264834183808
Hello everyone!
A new update will be released on March 14th, which means in just three days, so it's high time to give you a glimpse of what to expect in the new update.
As you can see, there will be 5 new scenes available, all related to the main storyline - fans of Elijah and Richard will be pleased, there will also be a scene with Ivy, we'll try to make Mike happy, and who knows, maybe we'll discover a new way to earn money to pay off the debt? We'll find out. :)
Two scenes related to school grades, along with achievements associated with them depending on the path you choose. Perhaps there's also some (un)pleasant surprise waiting for you in the park? Who knows.
We've also added two new languages - Turkish and Traditional Chinese. We're still considering Polish, maybe Japanese and Italian, but we haven't made a final decision yet.
That's it for now, I'm also throwing in a few additional renders from the new update to make these three days of waiting more enjoyable.
Hello folks!
I'm sharing with you the current progress of the new episode so you know where we're at in the creation process. The scripts and additional materials should be ready within the next 2-3 days. We had a slight delay with rendering (mostly on my end), but I'll pull a few all-nighters and everything will be back on track. I believe they should be done by early March (it's a small update, but it includes quite a few renders and animations, and the scenes are rather large, probably over 700 new renders). We'll also kick off the rest of the coding, translating new scenes, and testing at the beginning of March.
We're also looking for language testers - it's voluntary work and doesn't require experience. The task involves running the new update upon its official release and checking it in your native language - we're looking for such translators for each language, so if you're interested in supporting the project, this is the best opportunity. Your job will be to spot typos, ensure everything is translated reasonably well, and identify any potential errors. You can write on our discord server.
We're halfway through creating a new update, so it's time for a little preview as well! Below, I'm sharing renders that you'll be able to see as early as March 14th in Episode 2.2.
That's about it. As usual, I'm getting back to work and Riley :)
Have a great day!
Hi there!
It's been exactly a week since the game was released on Steam, so it's time for a little summary. The game has attracted a lot of interest, beyond our expectations, which delights us immensely and gives us the momentum to create new updates and scenes. Thank you!
We've received various opinions and private messages - some opinions were certainly helpful as they provided additional perspectives on the entire project, while others were strictly about the content itself or other games. First and foremost, I'd like to mention that a year ago, I knew nothing about being a developer or releasing games; my focus was mainly on creating renders. I've learned a lot during this time, but I realize there's still much to learn, and even more to improve. However, believe me, I'm learning quickly, and I'll quickly catch up - and as Bill Brooks wrote, you don't need super knowledge, just surround yourself with the right people.
Regarding the content and its quantity - as I've mentioned several times before, a game based on the corruption of the main character needs to be a bit of a slow burn to show their transformation. If it happens too quickly, the whole story wouldn't make sense. We're roughly at 25-30% completion of the entire project, so there are still many scenes ahead of you (and us).
However, comparing our project to others like "Innocence and Money," "Being a DIK," etc., and giving negative ratings based on them is somewhat unfair from one simple standpoint - they've been in development for years and often by experienced developers, whereas our project is still in its infancy and only growing, so please give it time.
That's it for now; I hope you all enjoyed it nonetheless, and thank you for your trust. We won't let you down! As you could read in Early Access, the entire project is planned for 7-8 episodes (more likely 7, but we'll see if we want to add additional side plots and expand the world more than planned), with each episode having two smaller chapters. Below, I present you with the update schedule:
Episode 1.0 -> 1.1 -> 1.2
Episode 2.0 -> 2.1 -> 2.2 (we are here and working on update 2.2)
Episode 3.0 -> 3.1 -> 3.2
Episode 4.0 -> 4.1 -> 4.2
Episode 5.0 -> 5.1 -> 5.2
Episode 6.0 -> 6.1 -> 6.2
Episode 7
We plan to release larger full episodes (2.0, 3.0, etc.) every approximately 8-10 weeks (9-11 scenes), followed by two smaller ones (2.1, 2.2, etc.) every approximately 5-7 weeks (5-7 scenes). I believe it's better to release smaller updates in shorter intervals than, like most developers, a big update every six months or more. We truly value quality, and each of us works in every spare moment to achieve the goal.
That's all from me for now; I wanted you to know what our plans are and how everything looks from my perspective. I'm getting back to work because, as you know, the new update is coming in a month - March 14th!
Finally, the much-anticipated moment for us has arrived, which will validate all the effort we have put into the project SO FAR! Thanks for all the game copies bought, granting you access to the game until it is fully released. I encourage you to leave reviews that will help us further improve the project and add things that interest you more. The new update for Episode 2.2 will be released on March 14th with exciting new content. As always, if you have any questions, I'll be responding to all your messages on Discord! Thanks again and talk to you soon!
Hey there!
Just under three days left until the game is released on Steam, less than 72 hours! It's been a cool journey to this point over the past year and a half (the beginnings were different, and mostly difficult, but the first and preliminary renders for the game were made in the second half of 2022). A lot of time has been spent creating, preparing, refining, but it's been a truly interesting time, and it's finally coming together. This is a very important moment for me, but it's not the end of our journey; I would say it's the real beginning!
You could have played the game already through support on my patreon, but then what can you expect from this version? First and foremost, seven new languages - Simplified Chinese, Spanish (Latam), Portuguese-Brazil, Russian, French, German, Hungarian. We have a slight delay with Traditional Chinese, but it will also be in the game by mid-February. We'll soon start working on Polish, Turkish, and Italian as well. All previous errors will also be fixed.
I encourage you to buy and leave reviews - it's crucial for us, as more reviews significantly boost the game's visibility and also helps us improve the game - whether it's positive or negative feedback!
That's it; we have a busy weekend ahead to wrap everything up, but we're almost there!
Hello folks!
This is Fooxied, the developer behind Steps of Debauchery. As you've probably noticed on the main page, the game's sales and access will start on February 5th. We're extremely excited because we can't wait to hear your feedback on the game - what you liked and enjoyed, but also aspects we can improve in the future.
As you may have read in the Early Access section, we plan to release the full game by the end of 2026 and expand the current content at least sixfold (and we still have about 5 hours of content right now). We aim to release new updates every 1-2 months, depending on their content. We lean towards smaller updates so that you can check out what's new from time to time, rather than having large updates every six months.
I also invite you to join our Discord, where I'm happy to answer all your questions, whether they're about the game itself or what I had for breakfast. I dedicate a lot of time to people who enjoy our project, and I believe that sets it apart from others. While I know what I want to create, I'm always open to considering your insights.
I'm getting back to creating new content, and I look forward to seeing you on February 5th.

Follow the steps of Riley, a girl who moves from a small town to the city to help her husband, Mike, pursue his dreams. While Mike is busy with his bar, Riley supports him wholeheartedly and often puts others’ well-being above her own. This leads her into unexpected situations, where she discovers more about her true self and deepest desires.
She explores her sexuality in college and unravels her fantasies, takes on the role of a waitress at the bar, engages in activities with an elderly neighbor, streams adventures with his grandson and that's just the tip of the mountain. Riley’s world is opening wide in front of her, and she waits for you to explore it.
In Steps of Debauchery you get to be Riley, the star of the show, who's dealing with more obstacles than a squirrel trying to cross a busy highway. And guess what? Your choices are like the GPS for the story.
Will you go down the shady path of corruption and blackmail? Maybe you'll be the hero and take on the bad guys. Or, hey, joining the dark side could be your thing!
