  • Advisor - Single player games now contain a difficulty setting "Tutorial" which features an advisor who explains all important game concepts in a first, easier mock game

Update 0.9.5 - New Game Phase & No Movement Cost

A new minor version of the game was released. Heres all the changes: Game Mechanics

  • Remove Movement Cost - Movement and Attacks do not cost anything anymore.
  • Oil to build units - 1 Oil is now required for any unit to build
  • 4 Game Phases - Removing the cost attached to troop movement allowed for splitting up the turn phases into 4 distinct phases (vs. 3 before). and re-ordering them. The turn phases are now: "Deploy -> Attack -> Battle -> Build" This allows for a much cleaner, faster and less complex game without losing any of the game's depth
Improvements
  • The full Border Clash Wiki is now also integrated in interactive Help Pages within the game, access via (?)-Icon on top of the screen
  • First turn deploy phase now has 3x the time so players can check out the map and think about strategy at the start of the game
  • Change Timer Settings in Game Creation to "Time per Phase"
  • Removed Timer for Single Player Mode
  • Create View Toggle for Unit Display Mode
  • Slight transparency for UI panel backgrounds
  • Better Formatting for Country Pick Order Panel
  • New Scoring Strategy for Multiplayer Leaderboard - Progress Scoring Strategy now gives points for played games as well to reflect "experience" in the game

A new minor version of the game was released. Heres all the changes: Game Mechanics

  • Replaced Influence System - Income is now fixed at $25 per player and $25 per owned country
  • Replaced Region Bonus - Owning a region now doubles the resource production within that region

    • Removed Quebec-Great Britain connection
  • Income
    • Player Base Income - Add a $150 base income for any player and reduce influence based income from $2,5 per player and point to $2 per player and point
  • Smarter NPCs
    • NPC to not deploy in back country anymore
    • NPCs to sell excess resources
    • NPC to acquire and and defend regions (for region bonuses)
    • NPC to purchase high level units (tanks and jets)
    • Research preferences for NPC
    • NPC to move units from back country to the front
