I guess no one really cares about this, but I will write it anyway. Indie development is hard as hell, especially when you are doing solo development. This project took 3 years to develop, and it had its ups and downs, but believing in the success of your dream project is the main driving force for the indie developer, and the thing that is pushing you forward to reach your goal. This game was really made with passion and love for gaming, but unfortunately it is just not enough. Without media coverage or the community to drive it ,this project was destined to fail. I tried to reach out to many influencers and media people to promote this game, but they just didnt care about it, didnt want to cover it and in many cases were very demeaning. I also tried to find a publisher, but unfortunately their attitude towards this game was not really different. My only hope for this project to be completed was to make it available on Steam and try to gather funds from the actual revenue of the game, in hope the player will recognize its potential and support it. Unfortunately this did not happen either. Game was free to play and it had almost everything unlocked in the free version of the game, to attract as many people as possible in order to build a community that will drive the development further. Even though it was free this game did not do well and did not attract players. Many of you have no idea how it feels to have a second job, working countless nights to bring your project to life, and after 3 years no one really cares about it even though you give it for free. So I am shutting it down for now, and probably for good. There is no reason to develop this game anymore and probably no one cares about this, or this letter either. But it was my responsibility to say this to those few who actually bought the full version, and loved the game. Dont think of this as a scam, he took the money and ran. Since I didn't really make any money out of this game. I poured thousands of dollars and countless hours into its development, and there is no real reason to continue to do so. I reduced the price of the game by 80% percent. So if you dont think 3 years of my hard work is not worth even that, you can still play it for free. Or if you think its not worth you time just don't play it. PS: Don't try this at home kids, because you will suffer as I did. :D

I would like to reveal my plan for the future development of the game.
Odyssey Mode.
A single player procedurally generated campaign that can take as long as you like.
Gameplay will be split into two parts.
One will be the galactic map where you will roam all over the galaxy with your fleet from star system to star system and encounter various challenges and points of interest, such as planets, fleets, ancient derelicts, space stations etc.
The second will be the actual missions you uncover during your journey. I am developing the procedural map generator that will randomly generate those missions. And will make a system of event triggers template injection into those maps. In this way the content will be more diverse and more interesting and it will have a various possible scripted scenarios injected into the missions, such as:
-Resource node discovery: you fight with other opposing factions over a resource.
-Artifact mode discovery: you fight with other opposing factions over a ancient derelict to claim the ancient artifact or ancient technology to boost your fleet.
-Rescue Mission: you receive a distress call and you arrive at the site. You can choose to raid the ones that are calling for help, or to help the evacuate or fend of the attackers.
-Planetary siege: same as rescue mission but on planetary scale :D.
Those are some examples but of course there are more to be introduced.
There will be various factions fighting for domination over the galaxy and it will be your choice to make
enemies or allies out of them. Every mission will have dynamic outcomes that will increase or decrease your reputation with that faction, depending on your choices and the outcome of the mission.
Note that this will not be playable in a near future, but I hope you will get a great experience out of Odyssey Mode.
Also, the main story campaign will also have the odyssey features integrated. So it will be up to you to choose how will your campaign play out.
I know that this is a very hard endeavor for one man to implement, but I would really love to make this a reality. I hope you like the idea.
If you want to support the further development and improve the quality of the overall experience and production, purchase the full version DLC.
Please comment on this. I am eager to hear what you think about this mode.

Hi all, It has been 2 weeks since the Early Access of the Last Exodus started. My main goal as a solo developer struggling to finish this project, was to expose as many people to the game as possible. To build a loyal community of fans that will provide a feedback to make this game as enjoyable and fun as possible. That is why I chose the free to play model, so people have chance to try the game out, and if they like it, they could support the further development by buying the full version DLC. The main reason I went for this kind of model is that I didn't want the player to feel scammed and also can enjoy most of the content for free. I must admit that this strategy was utter failure so I will give you the numbers to clarify more. -20k people added free version of game into library but did not install the game. -400 people actually installed and played game. -5 people bought the full version. So from this numbers we can see that conversion rate from free to full version is only 0.01 percent of the players. So at this rate I will never be able to finance further development of the game, and by this I do not mean the technical part, but things like voice acting, additional graphics, and all the stuff that makes the game stand out. On the other hand comes Unity with their new $0.2 fee per install which makes this free to play model even more unreliable. (in most extreme cases with this kind of conversion rate, if I would reach 200k revenue, I would own unity more money that I even make) I am searching for the new kind of monetization model that could be more sustainable. Community Feedback The other challenge I face in this situation is the community feedback that is non existent. I really hoped that community would come alive with the free to play model. https://steamcommunity.com/app/2499320 At this rate I am not sure If people even like the game, since I have absolutely no feedback. Those are the sad news of the week. I wish you guys all the best.

Game has multiple single player story-driven campaigns and a fast paced multiplayer mode where you can play cooperatively with your friends or competitively against your foes.
The Last Exodus will have multiple campaigns with persistent fleet where your units and tech from previous missions will be available to you in future ones.
As you complete missions your technology will advance and your fleet will grow until you became the unstoppable force in the galaxy.
Single Scenario mode will also include a hot seat mode where you can play with your friends on a single device.
Every player controls the fleet and the heart of that fleet is your mothership.
Mothership is a massive capital ship on which you can build various subsystems which have different functions.
Building subsystems on you capital ship you will be able to research new technologies, gather resources and produce various ships to strengthen your fleet.
Technology is a very important aspect of the game. Not only will it increase strength of you ships and weapon systems but also unlock new options for designing a new blueprints of ships that can be deployed into battle.
Instead of being limited to a number of ship types in you roster, your fleet can adapt to new circumstances during the battle. So you will
be able to customize your ship blueprints to better counter enemy fleet. Once you research new chassis and weapon systems, plating and engines, you will be able to combine them into a new killing machine.
