  • Fixed a bug where selecting Retry on the Continue screen restarted the current stage instead of restarting at Stage 1
  • Fixed a bug on the regular pause screen where entering the Yes/No confirm menu after selecting Retry reset the player's score
  • Removed the gaussian blur effect when navigating the pause menus and replaced it with a simple "flip" effect similar to the effect in Shoot the Bullet's pause menu
  • Changed youkou requirement for entering Bewitched Mode on Absurd difficulty (350 320)
  • Music Room now shows a music note next to the track that is currently playing, track is also highlighted in blue

Demo v0.02a Update

  • Bewitched Mode no longer activates automatically. The player must activate it with the C key when at least one gauge is full
  • The player no longer loses a life when hit by a bullet in Bewitched Mode, though the bonuses are still lost
  • When getting hit by an enemy bullet in Bewitched Mode, the player has temporary invincibility (~1/2 second) and some of the enemy bullets in the player's general area are cleared
  • Fixed a bug where Bewitched Mode disables deathbombing
  • Special Attacks can now be practiced with any character and shot type, as long as it has been encountered at least once character shot type, it is no longer character-specific
  • Bewitched Mode PIV Increase counter is now visible while still in Bewitched Mode
  • The magic circle effect in Bewitched Mode starts out big and slowly shrinks, to indicate how much time is left in Bewitched Mode
  • Fixed a bug where Anya's 1st boss special attack moves faster in 120fps
  • "Feldonian Regalia" - Made crystal bullet circles smaller on Platinum phase

  • Fixed a bug where timing out a non-survival special attack in Special Attack Practice incorrectly counted it as a successful capture

Juuden Youshuugi ~ Crimson Paraselene (獣伝妖秋儀 ~ Crimson Paraselene) is a bullet hell shooting game inspired by Touhou Project, featuring characters from various artists. The game takes place in Lunamara, a mystical land where the moon is closest to the Earth, inhabited by beasts, magic users, and youkai.

It is the first game in the Beast Tales (獣伝) series and is being developed in the Unity game engine by Supermoon Studio.

Story

The moon's revolution around Earth has been halted, creating a week-long full moon directly over Lunamara. This unnatural event caused the moon's influence on nature in Lunamara to intensify, resulting in a forest of bamboo springing up overnight, and non-stop high tides. Lunamara will be in serious danger unless someone intervenes...

A fox and a lion went out to investigate the source of this incident, following the only clue they had: pockets of sunlight and moonlight that rained from the sky.

Basic Gameplay

  • Use the arrow keys to move the playable character and avoid enemy bullets. You can move the character in 8 directions.
  • You will lose a life if your character gets hit by an enemy bullet.
  • Hold the shot key (Z) key to shoot.
  • Press the bomb key (X) key to use a bomb. Use these to clear bullets.
  • Hold the slow key (shift) to focus your character's shots and make them move slowly. Use this for more precise movement to avoid bullets.
  • Collect blue rupees dropped by enemies to earn points. The higher your character is on the screen when you collect them, the more points you earn!
  • Collect red rupees dropped by enemies to increase your character's shot power and deal more damage to enemies! Be careful, your character will lose power if they lose a life!
  • Bewitched light items, or "youkou" (妖光) items will appear when you shoot down enemies or graze bullets, appearing as either moons or stars.
  • Moon items will appear when you are holding down shift.
  • Star items will appear when you are not holding down shift.
  • Collect enough of these items to enter Bewitched Mode, where you can earn pieces of extra lives or extra bombs!
