Here's a quick overview of what has changed:
Since the early stages of the game, we were dissatisfied that the core mechanic of the project was out of our control, which prevented us from fully addressing many issues due to our dependence on a third party. Additionally, we encountered a major security problem. Due to a vulnerability on Steam's side, there was an exploit that allowed dishonest players to obtain sticker packs unfairly. With the 2.4 update, we are completely overhauling the internal item drop system. Roger Miller (CTO) said: [quote]"The development of the new item drop system began at the end of August. It was strategically planned from the very launch of the game, but due to circumstances and other core issues, the development timeline was significantly extended"[/quote] We are also temporarily removing the captcha. Lead game designer at VHC, Sergio Gomez is speaking! Weve reached the halfway point of Season 2, bringing new changes, new players, and a lot of feedback, for which we are truly grateful! Thank you for helping us improve! The first topic well cover in this diary and the next update is the Seasonal Achievement System.
One of the most requested features was the ability to complete the game 100%. Seasonal achievements were a major roadblock for this goal. Firstly, they relied on limited resources, meaning each month it became harder to achieve them, eventually becoming almost impossible. Secondly, some achievements were extremely difficult, bordering on unachievable. Moving forward, achievements will be divided into Global (Steam) and Internal categories. Global Achievements:
Pins are a new, more challenging form of collectible content. One pin page will be in focus for 12 seasons (1 year). Unfocused pin pages will still be achievable. How to earn Pins:
We have already started working on the third collection, and even for pixel art, it's turning out to be quite square! ;)
After the release of the Pins, Leaderboard redesign, and Season 3, we will finally introduce one of the most exciting features of our project: Profile Customization. We want to make our game more social, so we believe that personalizing collectors' profiles is of great importance.
Due to shifting priorities, the roadmap has been slightly adjusted, and the Referral and Betting systems have been postponed. We also aim to deepen the clicker mechanics and add more social interaction. Through this, we hope to motivate players to visit each other's profiles. However, we are not ready to share more details at this time.

Global changes to achievement system
All Seasonal Achievements (Steam) will be removed from the game.
One of the most requested features was the ability to complete the game 100%. Seasonal achievements were a major roadblock for this goal. Firstly, they relied on limited resources, meaning each month it became harder to achieve them, eventually becoming almost impossible. - Can be earned at any time.
- Do not depend on limited resources.
- Highlight players who spend a lot of time in the game.
- Grant additional points to the ranking system.

- By randomly dropping in place of a sticker pack (the chance will be extremely low, and the drop time limited to the season).
- Through other activities (we are currently considering giving pins to active community members).
- Players will no longer earn ranking points for completing achievements.
- Pins will have rarities.
- Pins will grant ranking points.
- Points for pins will not be included in the 10% addition after each season.
Season 3

Customization

We want to inform you that exploiting bugs to gain an unfair advantage over other players is considered a form of cheating, which will lead to your account being banned from the game. Catherine Walker (CEO) comments on the situation: [quote]We deeply regret that a security vulnerability in the game has led to such serious consequences and disagreements within our community. We must all remember that if you find someones wallet on the street and take money from it, the police wont care that the victim lost it. You will be the one judged. Before banning players, we extensively consulted with Steam employees to confirm whether our game can be considered multiplayer and whether it was ethical to ban players who exploited bugs to obtain illegal items. To those accusing us of using this loophole to deceive, first, provide evidence to avoid making empty claims. Second, you should have reported the bug to us before the bans were issued. As an apology to the gaming community, I have decided to dismiss every seventh employee working on Collectibles! as a lesson. This is Sergio Gomez, the lead game designer at VHC! Today, I want to talk to you about Collectibles! In this diary, Ill be sharing the philosophy and significance of this project for our company, as well as discussing the plans weve set to enhance the player experience. When Catherine Walker called me with the offer to become the lead game designer at VHC, the first thing I asked about was the companys philosophy regarding its games. Catherine responded, "Our goal is to create games that people can play for hours on end." This intrigued me because it sounded like a challenge. Is it really possible to make a game that people would play even while sleeping? After a lot of research, trials, and errors, we concluded that it is possible, and thats how Collectibles was born! Currently, the project's potential is only about 20% realized. Why so little? The answer is simple. We wanted to ride the wave of the genres popularity and develop this genre further with a live audience.

Deepening the Gameplay Experience
As practice has shown, even now, it takes an active player only 1-2 weeks to complete a full collection. Considering the season lasts a month, its important for us to add more challenges. Measures to be taken:
- Introducing an additional rarity: Divine
- Changing the drop rate for items:
- Common 70% -> 77.5%
- Rare 19% -> 15%
- Epic 8% -> 5%
- Legendary 2.5% -> 2%
- Forbidden 0.5% -> 0.4%
- Divine 0% -> 0.1%
Enhancing the Endgame
Its important for us to support the games economy, so we want to create more opportunities for challenges and scoring points for players aiming to top the leaderboard. Measures to be taken:
- Adding a clicker counter
- Increasing the difficulty of the clicker
- Evolving seasonal achievements (Bronze/Silver/Gold)
Creating more flexible Interface
- Creating a text-based interface
- Preparing the interface for more advanced filtering/sorting
- Displaying and switching between different seasons/stickers/sticker packs
New Interactive Elements
- Displaying the number of views for players in the leaderboard (Number of profile visits)
- Adding the ability to "like" favorite collections (In the future, certain rewards will be given for likes)

Fixes:
- Fixed an issue with achievement unlocking.
- Fixed a problem with incorrect point calculation for collections for some players.
- Fixed an issue where the leaderboard score was displayed incorrectly for certain players.
- Corrected the formula for point calculation when burning items.
- Fixed a problem with sticker pack distribution that affected some players.
QoL:
- The outline of stickers added to the collection is now hidden.
- Added a loading indicator when burning or crafting items.
- Added automatic disabling of page navigation buttons when the minimum or maximum page in the leaderboard is reached.
