I wanted to get this version out to beta sooner, but I decided to take a little time and revamp how explosions work in the game. Previously, explosions were very unforgiving; if you were barely within the range of an explosion you'd immediately take full damage. I've changed how this works so that the hitbox for explosions scales up over time, while the damage scales down over time. The net effect is that explosions shouldn't damage you unless you're visibly in the graphic and you won't take full damage unless you're standing right next to it. Here are the full changes for 2.3.1:
- New Challenge: Genowlcide
- Improve explosion hitboxes and reduce explosion damage over time
- Fix gamepad detection
- Fix stat calculations from items when transitioning from alive<->dead
- Fix item counts for non-stackable items when transitioning from alive<->dead
- Fix touch events overriding mouse events on hybrid tablets
- Fix bug with Soul Rush ending immediately when used next to a destructible solid e.g. barrels

A big welcome to all the new players who have joined us from the recent Humble Weekly Bundle! We've been working on various fixes and balance tweaks to A Wizard's Lizard which are now available on the beta branch. Here are the changes in 2.3.0:
- New Challenge: Hell's Barrels
- Increase health restored for most healing items
- Reduced cost per hitpoint healed for healing items
- Prevent collection of health restoration items if the player is at full health
- Increase health drops in the Cemetery
- Remove treasure drops from farmable monsters (zombies and skeletons)
- Increase treasure drops from more difficult monsters
- Rename Trickster gear to Deminion gear and make descriptions more informative
- Deminion Axe now gains a bounce bonus like other axes
- New, more noticable graphics for Arrow Traps
- Reduce Arrow Trap and Spike Trap detection radius
- Reset Senso-spikes on room enter to prevent cheap damage
- Wall traps can no longer be placed in the corners of a room
- Muck Monsters no longer prevent doors from opening when inactive
- Merchants now provide info on their items for sale
- Merchant in town now details which zones still contain blueprints
- Fix bug causing players to not receive credit for kills with totems or explosions
- Fix crash where the player exits a room shortly after taking damage
- Bushes spawn a leaf upon death

Challenge Mode is now available in A Wizard's Lizard! In this FREE update, guide Raga through death-defying scenarios which will test your skill in all aspects of the game.
This content update includes a new, unlockable character, Xam, a cameo from our previous games. Xam is trapped in one of the challenges, waiting to be rescued.
Challenge Mode tracks the time it takes you to complete scenarios, awarding you with bronze, silver, and gold trophies. Once you hit gold, you can continue to try and beat your own best time.
As always, we're happy to get feedback and bug reports in the Steam community forum. We're constantly working on improving the game and addressing stability and performance issues.
Our plan is to release more challenge mode scenarios in the coming months.
Game on!
